olay natural white healthy fairness day lotion Olay Natural White Healthy Fairness Day Lotion ReviewMy 30ml bottle of Olay Natural White Healthy Fairness Day Lotion SPF24

Product claim:

Nourish your skin with nutrients for healthy-looking natural fairness that glows. Its formula with triple nutrient system- Vitamins B3, pro-B5 & E nourishes your skin to reduce the appearance of dark spots and dullness for a healthy-looking natural fairness that glows. It also has SPF 24 that protects skin from harmful UVA/B rays.

For something light on the skin, the lotion is formulated to get quickly absorbed in the skin and is suitable for combination to oily skin types.

The following pictures show a spot of it being applied on my arm:

I’m always on the lookout for a good, gentle daily facial sunblock that will not make my skin breakout. I had run out of facial sunblock, and while I was out shopping during the past holidays, I saw this and went ahead and purchased it. I have been using it since, although I don’t apply it everyday but every other day, since I don’t go out daily and work from home.

I don’t usually go for whitening skin products, especially ones for the face, because the few I tried in the past were a bit harsh to my skin, plus I’m not looking to specifically make my skin lighter, so I was hesitant at first to get this. The sales assistant was successful in convincing me to give it a try, pointing out that that there was a smaller size available, which would allow me to try the product first without having to spend money on a full-size bottle immediately. The 30ml bottle I got is reasonably priced at about $4.

What I like about Olay Natural White Healthy Fairness Day Lotion

-Aside from the tester/travel size, the other thing that made me want to try this sunblock was its consistency. I tried it at the store and liked how light it felt on my skin. Using it regularly, it feels light and non-greasy on my face; it absorbs quickly, and the finish has a kind of matte feel. I really like that it does not feel sticky or at all heavy. Great for humid days!
- It does not make my sensitive, acne-prone skin itchy or break out in pimples. What a relief.
-It does not seem to leave a white cast in person or in pictures. If you examine the above photos of it on my arm, my arm seems to be just the teeniest bit lighter after application, but after about a minute my skin is back to its original colour.
-It’s affordable. Even with daily use, I think the small 30 ml bottle could last a couple of months, since only a pea-sized amount is needed each time.
-I’ve been examining my face carefully and since using this I don’t notice any new sun spots.

What I don’t like about Olay Natural White Healthy Fairness Day Lotion

-It’s fragranced. The scent is floral and not overwhelming but I just personally prefer for my facial skincare products (especially creams and moisturizers) to be unscented.
-When I use this and I’m unable to wash my face at the end of the day (bad, I know), the following morning I notice extra blackheads on my nose. But my nose has big pores and is prone to getting blackheads, plus it’s always best to wash your face before sleeping, so…perhaps it’s not entirely the product’s fault.

Overall, I would recommend this product to those with oily or combination skin looking for a daily facial sunblock with a light, non-greasy feel. It’s okay for its price and besides protecting the skin from UVA/B rays it also supposedly reduces the appearance of existing dark spots and makes skin fairer. I can’t attest to its skin-lightening properties, but I have only been using it for a month and a half, and it will probably take much longer than that to see changes. I will continue to use it because I like how it feels on my skin and I think it provides adequate protection.

nice review Ida.. i too noticed ur arm turning slightly lighter after applying this lotion :) ).. i’ve tried olay fairness cream bt found it bad.. means my face used to get soo oily after using it so stopped using it only.. finished it by mixing it in my lakme foundation so as to make a sort of tinted moisturizer :P :P :P .. do they have any such lotion for dry skin ?:) ?:) & can it b used as a body lotion ?:) ?:)

Thanks Nids! :) ) :) ) I actually only noticed that when I looked at the photos…in person it’s not at all obvious. :) Haven’t tried the Olay fairness cream , too bad it didn’t work out for you. Good idea to use it as body lotion instead. :) ) :) ) Not sure if they have creams made for dry skin, I got their total effects moisturizer and there was no variant for dry skin, so I just settled on one for sensitive skin.
