Olay Quench Body Lotion Shimmer Review

Hope you all had a cozy winter weekend. This is my first post on IMBB and I am really thrilled to write. I came across Olay through a family friend when this brand was not even launched in India. The first product that I used from this brand was a bathing bar and I would swear it was the most moisturizing soap I have ever used. So, while my friend was visiting states I asked him to get a body lotion from Olay. You would have to read on to know how it faired for me.

My Experience with Olay Quench Body Lotion Shimmer:

I have been using this body lotion for 6 months now as it is quite a big bottle. The bottle comes with a pump dispenser, so there is no wastage of product. The lotion has a creamy texture and gets readily absorbed in the skin. I totally love the smell it imparts to my skin. The smell is neither floral nor fruity, but a smell which I think even sensitive noses would like. I do not know if the fragrance is too strong for people around me, but after two hours or so the smell settles to a subtle fragrance. I can only smell the lotion if I bring my nose close to my skin.

A coin sized quantity is enough for a single hand, so a little goes a long way. It leaves the skin soft and supple. There are soft shimmer particles, which imparts a subtle glow on the skin. The shimmer particles are fairly visible in sunlight, though I could also mark that they shine under the LED lights. The shimmer effect stays for atleast 12 hours, but I cannot vouch for the moisturizing effect for this long. I have tried to capture the shimmer in the sun, but unfortunately my camera was not able to separate the glare and the shine. In person, it looks beautiful.

I have very dry feet and elbows, which is bothersome even in summers. This lotion can only moisturize my elbows for upto 4 hours after which they start to feel dry again.

Overall, I would say that I totally love this Body Lotion and I am disappointed that it’s still not launched in India. I have almost run the search on every possible site to repurchase it again.

• Moisturizes well and gets absorbed in the skin easily.
• Leaves the skin soft and supple for 6 hours atleast.
• As it is the shimmer variant, it adds a nice uniform shimmer to the skin.
• Totally love the smell of the lotion.
• Comes with a pump dispenser, so it pumps out the correct amount.

Cons of Olay Quench Body Lotion Shimmer:

• Availability is an issue.
• Might require a little more amount for people with drier elbows.
