I bought this face cleanser last month when I went into a frenzy about how I do nothing about my skin care being 27, and started weighing whether I should think about jumping on to the anti-ageing band wagon. Considering the hot climate my still active acne sometimes, I thought it wise to just invest on a good face wash  the first step to an anti-ageing routine and then stick to my oil-free moisturizer :P has it ever happened to you ?

What I like about it is that they have entire routine set up for you from cleansing to special treatment  and you can still make your pick if you want to start with just a single thing. the face wash is a little over priced , it costs around 349 for 100 gram of cream cleanser which will be over sooner than you would know.I also end up using a lot of the product each time.

The face wash does not lather, so if you are looking for a squeaky clean feel from a face wash  stop reading, this is not for you. Then again, if you have active acne which you dare not scrub, this is not for you. If you don’t like strongly fragranced products, this is not for you.

The product is a soft cream with pink scrub granules which fall into the mild to medium scrub category. The cleanser smelled heavily of mixed fruit juice, this is the only thing I could think of or maybe guava and orange juice mixed in some mock tail. It is really very strong, and then I am bound to think this is some chemical and not really some juice mix which puts me off. In the shower, I get such mixed kind of thoughts when I am busy rubbing this cleanser in a circular motion on my face.

It says it is meant for all skin types but I think it is more suited to normal to dry skin especially in the winters. This will not dry out skin in any which way and you would now feel squeaky clean but rather you would feel like you have rubbed some nourishment into your skin. The cleanser is supposed to be rinsed off with warm water which I do.

Some points I notice about this cleanser is that it does even out skin without drying it out, the last thing ageing skin would need. Then again, it removes light makeup and the scrub is good enough for oily skin as well in case you are looking for a non-drying cleanser with some scrub in it.Hence, it caters to oily skin in the scrub department and dry to normal skin in the moisture department.

Last word:

I have really mixed feelings about it, it does a good job at not drying skin and yet scrubbing it clean and leaving it nourished.I think in winters, all skin types will dig this cleanser in case you want to stay away from face washes that feel soapy. It is very strongly fragrance like mixed fruit juice and over all it does leave skin supple, nourished and clean. It is worth a try fro all skin types that are 25+ years of age.this would of course work better with all the 4 steps from Olay regenerist being followed.

Hi Neha,….

I have the same problem,….im also 27 and im contemplating whether or not i should use anti aging skincare …..However,,..the ones i tried so far didnt make any difference to my skin so i dont know if they work.

Also what are the changes you see in skin compared to early twenties… for me it is mainly driness around the lip area.

thanks for this review. was also waiting for this for some time. I use the Olay cleanser and nothing else has suited my face like Olay Total effects. The other products like Nidhi said do leave you quite confused.. if this works well just maybe i could try this..:)
