Online Shopping Experience with B. LAB

Online Shopping Experience with B. LAB

Hi Folks, you all must have seen this B.LAB advertisement flashing sometimes here on IMBB. B.LAB is an online shopping website and I ordered from it last week, so thought of sharing my experience with you all here.

This is how the main page of the website looks like:

Online shopping experience with B. LAB

You can check their website here.

Following are the brands they are offering:

List

I ordered 2 products on 10th October 2011 (Monday) from the B. Lab site and I opted for COD (cash on delivery option) as this seemed a comparatively new website and I didn’t feel like using my debit/credit card with it.

I received a confirmation email in a little time about my order and that they would ship it soon.

On 14th October (Friday), I received a text from some courier company that I will be receiving a package today and I should be prepared with a certain amount in cash. Amidst work, I couldn’t recall at all that it could be my B. LAB order :p Also, the SMS carried no complete details.

Anyway, my package did arrive on the same day.

Here’s how it looked:

courier

box

My products were sent in a plain, black, sturdy cardboard box, which mentions nothing about the website.

packaging

The products were loosely/casually wrapped in bubble wrap.

La Roche Posay

This is what I ordered, La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water and Kaya Skin Clinic Acne Cream.

invoice

I received a proper invoice too from the website.  I got 15% discount on my purchase, which they are offering to everyone on registering with their website.

Overall, it was an okay/decent shopping experience. I doubt I would reach for this website often, but yes, definitely for brands like La roche posay, Dermalogica, Vichy, TIGI , which I can’t find here in the stores easily.

What is Good about B. LAB Website:

• The display of the website is properly arranged.
• Offers cash on delivery option.
• Free shipping on orders over Rs. 400.
• Offers good selection in skin care brands like La roche posay, Dermalogica, Vichy, TIGI , which I can’t find here in stores easily.
• Delivery time is 3-4 days.
• You get 15% discount on registration.

What is Not-So-Good about B. LAB Website:

• Caters to very few brands at the moment.
• They do not offer discounts on MRP of the product like other websites.

IMBB Rating:

3.75 ON 5 :-* :-* :-* :-*

  1. you shopped from B.Lab??? wow!!! you are brave.. i checked out the site but it failed to impress me so didnt want to take a chance 😉 but now nupur thanks to you i know its not bad at all 🙂

  2. la roche posey is available kya  Rauni ne itne gun gaan gaaye hain uske. 😀 😀 I am checking it out :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

        1. Even I got Vichy..but then came to know its Loreal brand…Why I end up getting this brand when I dont wantttttttttt…… :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: ..Thankfully Lancome India and Europe don’t test on animals..only Lancome USA does!! 😐 😐 😐 And I hope they are not lying about that!!!

          1. cali lancome does not manufacture its products in india. they are all imported. so there is nothing called lancome india other than that they have stores here.

            1. I mean thats what Lancome in India told..when I asked them..may be they get their products from Europe area…!! Donno….They just said that their products are lab tested and not tested on animals…atleast the products that I bought….so I donno if they are lying!! 😐

Coz I asked at Germany too..and they said…no its not tested on animals!! 😐

              1. and I feel that the products in India come from Europe coz the price is same with a lil here and there difference….whereas these products are cheaper in US…..the same products…..

                1. What I think is when I talked to Lancome representative here in India, the guy was more focussed on visionnaire thing…and kept on saying that its not tested on animals but has gone through lab tests….
And Germany mein toh english and german mix ho jata hai..I doubt if the lady there even understood my question!!!

                1. Ohhhhhhh..then why is Peta not updating its list?? They have a list of companies marked as * who are planning to go curelty free…I dont see any star on Lancome and Loreal…hmmmmm..may be they’ll put a star in 2013…..

                2. Actually Rati..companies do tell when someone asks if they test on animals..e.g. Maxfactor…I asked the SA there and she said yes we test on animals….same with Garnier and Aveeno too…so either the representative is disillusioned or doesn’t know everything about his company..he is not supposed to lie about this…PETA will charge a hugeeeeee fine..if we report that!! 😛 …. 😐

                  1. pata nahin cali. I am nt stuck with the animal testing thing bt i dnt support it either. the biggest problem is that i wont be able to use a whole of products if i get strict about it. Doesnt work for me that way. bt really these companies should spare these poor animals. :((

  3. even i was checking out this site the other day. Now that i know they r good ‘ll place my order soon. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :thanks: for sharing

  4. I checked them out a few days ago…read their e-magzine and came back…what I liked was costing a bomb and I am broke (again!) :idk: :idk: :idk:

:high5: I shop online a lot too

  5. wow…a nice share. thanks for the information. Will try this too. Im often wary about shopping online, but gonna try this once I guess.

    1. Nupurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiii……. :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

  9. Sahi yaar- so many nice sites coming up. now I can send good skin care stuff to mom… hehe

btw- yaha pe bhi I signed up with a site- they take a survey about your skin type, hair etc and recomment products every season- then you select 8 out of those and its 50$
I loved the concept- abhi I gave 1st order – hope I like it,… they are alll good skin care brands… dermalogica, DDf, etc

  10. i too was checkin out diz site for Vichy Bi-White range… but was a lil skeptical about the authenticity of the products since its on 15% discount!!
But since u have had a gud experience, might reconsider my decision! :thanks: :thanks:

Btw, have never used LA Roche Posay myself, whats the best thing i can get from dem? I have oily acne prone skin 🙂
