Hi Everyone :pompom: Hope you all are enjoying the festive season. For me, the festivity comes with shopping :toothygrin: I have been splurging a lot on clothes as my near and dear ones are getting married and this is what is keeping me so busy these days. Okay, coming back to the post, it is an online shopping experience, what started as a fun activity has turned into a compulsive buying syndrome; every other day, I keep trying different online sites. This time, I shopped from makeupshades.com, let me narrate my experience with this site:

A little about makeupshades.com (taken from their website):

Makeupshades is an online cosmetic store based out of National Capital Region. Our aim is to deliver rich variety of branded cosmetic and makeup products at the customer s doorstep. Makeup shades aims to help both women and men to get vast collection of beauty products thus helping our customers explore new looks in this glamorous world. Inspired by the who s who of the fashion world, Makeup shades helps women in not only getting the trendsetting products online but provides numerous make up tips that helps women to display their own beauty and persona.

My Experience Shopping with Makeupshades.com:

I was placing an order on 26th September, 2011, midnight and chose the option of COD, my order could not be completed as their was some internal server error. I mailed them the very next day that my order could not be completed and I got a very prompt reply within 2 hours that it was due to the technical glitch and they told me that to compensate for that, if I placed the order again, they would be giving me a surprise gift :woot:

I was super excited and placed my order again, but again to my dismay, I received an email stating they do not have COD option in my city.

Not getting disheartened, I again placed the order on 6th October, I had ordered for just two things as I was checking their credibility and customer service, Lotus Herbals Honey Moist Cleanser and Lakme Fruit BlastMelon Melt Face Wash.

I made the payment through debit card. I received the order confirmation on the same day. After two days, I had to mail them to know about the status of my stuff. I got a prompt reply yet again and the next day, they sent me the order tracking number. Within 2 days, I received my courier and yes, they maintained their commitment. I received Ginni Clea Wet face wiping tissues as a free gift, which they had promised me :jalwa:

Also, all the stuff was carefully bubble wrapped and it came in a brown cardboard box.

Summarizing, the pros and cons of this site:

The Good Things about makeupshades.com:

Very prompt customer care which is the best part. Within two hours or so, I was getting replies from them.
They give freebies with a purchase of minimum of Rs. 300.
No shipping charges.
COD option (only for a few metro cities).

The Not-So-Good Things about makeupshades.com:

Though they mention COD option, but it might not be available in some of the cities (like it happened in my case).
Not a very large selection of products to choose from.
I had to mail them asking about my order status, whereas in some of the sites I have shopped with, they even tell that the product is being made ready for dispatch.

Will I Repurchase From makeupshades.com?

Yes, I will, because their customer service is extremely prompt and they do not levy any shipping charges even if I want to buy something small.
