Oriflame Exfoliating Shower Gel with Nourishing Olive & Bamboo Review

Oriflame Exfoliating Shower Gel with Nourishing Olive & Bamboo
For the winters, I was alternating Olive oil & Almond Oil as night time moisturisers & found them to be very effective! Earlier I was sceptical about using Olive Oil on the face, but once I started using it, I could see how effective this oil is! So when I saw the Oriflame Olive & Bamboo shower gel on discount, I decided to try it.

Oriflame Exfoliatiing gel

My Experience with the Shower gel:
The Oriflame Exfoliating Shower Gel with Nourishing Olive & Bamboo comes in a nice transparent plastic bottle with a flip cap

The consistency of the shower gel is neither very runny nor too thick. It has green coloured small granules which are not too abrasive & provide gentle exfoliation.
The shower gel lathers well & forms extremely creamy foam; you just need two pea-sized amounts on the shower puff for bath. This 200ml bottle will last for long time at least month & half or two months!
It doesn’t leave the skin dry after the bath! It retains the moisture & cleanses well!
Now comes the most important part, the fragrance of the shower gel! As soon as I took the shower gel in my hand & smelled it, it didn’t smell like candy, didn’t have a floral or fruity or aquatic fragrance!
Imagine you take a leaf & tear it or break a twig from a plant & the smell that comes after that, that’s exactly how the shower gel smells! Eww, I hate the smell, though the smell vanishes after the bath.
I expected the fragrance of the shower gel to be at least pleasant if not floral or perfumed but it doesn’t even smell like olives!
Everything about the shower gel is good except the fragrance!

Pros of the Oriflame Exfoliating Shower Gel

  • It scrubs away dead cells and leaves the skin feeling smooth and revitalised.
  • Cleanses well & doesn’t leave the skin dry after bath.
  • The color of the shower gel is nice, it is a transparent gel with fine green colored granules
  • The exfoliating granules are not abrasive.
  • The packaging is decent & leak-proof.
  • Just the size of the 2 peas is enough for shower, it lathers well.
  • Oriflame products are not tested on animals.

Cons of the Oriflame Exfoliating Shower Gel

  • I feel it’s little expensive at the regular price.
  • FRAGRANCE! It smells really bad!

Final Verdict: This shower gel isn’t like those shower gels that will lift up your mood but this shower gel smells like; you are rubbing leaves in your hands! I expect shower gels to smell pleasant, boost up one’s spirits when tired but this doesn’t do anything like that!

Will I repurchase this? No Never Ever!

Will I recommend this? I will not recommend this to you girls! But if anyone who is still friends with her ex & if that ex is very adventurous & is planning to go camping or trekking, this is the best gift! It will definitely give him the living in jungle feel!
