Oriflame Swedish Spa Face Scrub Review

Oriflame Swedish Spa Face Scrub Review

Oriflame have overhauled their Swedish Spa facial range and have re-introduced their 3-step facial procedure again. I was very happy with their spa serum and this time around, the face scrub looked pretty impressive. Anyway, I was really bored using the same old Everyuth face scrubs and needed a change. I bought the scrub because this time around, it was on offer too, at 398 rupees a tub.

MY TAKE ON ORIFLAME SWEDISH SPA SMOOTHING FACE SCRUB:

When I first saw the small 75 mL tub with light green colour creamy scrub, I was thinking where are the damn scrub granules ? My immediate reaction was that this might not work for me at all and I have wasted my money because mild scrubs do nothing for me, but all my doubts were laid to rest when I used the scrub. This scrub comes in a light not-so-thick cream base and there are small white gritty particles in the scrub that work in a very efficient way to scrub and exfoliate dead and dull skin. If you have ever used the aspirin tablets mask, then this might seem familiar to you. The gritty texture of the scrub comes from the fine minute white particles that effectively exfoliate the skin. I had planned to keep it a little longer to use it as a scrub-cum-mask, but then it stings a little bit. The stinging is similar to what I experience with Himalaya Fruit and Neem masks and I am okay with it, but I doubt people with really sensitive skin might get scared. Other than this only hitch, this scrub is a perfect scrub for me. Also, only a little amount is required for the entire face, whereas, for Everyuth scrubs, I have to squeeze out considerable quantity for one-time scrubbing.

PROS OF ORIFLAME SWEDISH SPA SMOOTHING FACE SCRUB:

• Fine gritty particles effectively exfoliate and smooth skin.
• Contains the goodness of Swedish algae.
• Only a small quantity is required for the entire face.
• Consistency of the mask is similar to aspirin tablet mask.

CONS OF ORIFLAME SWEDISH SPA SMOOTHING FACE SCRUB:

• It stings a little bit, like how Himalaya fruit pack stings, people with sensitive skin should check out a sample of this before buying.
• Price of the scrub if not on offer might be an issue.

WILL I BUY IT AGAIN: Yes, on offer price.

WILL I RECOMMEND IT: Yes, but I would also recommend to buy a sample first to check if your skin is okay with the stinging sensation. Other than that, it is a perfect scrub.

IMBB STAR RATING: 3.5/5…..-1.5 for the stinging sensation.

        1. Nice review… love the colour… works for oily skin? I had a creamy scrub which made me look like an oil factory at the end. What does it smell like – apologies if you’ve already mentioned it in the review.

          1. Shai….it works really well for oily skin…actually, there is no residue after the scrubbing part..actually na, I am quite paranoid about things leaving residue on my face….thankfully this didn’t…..no excessive skin dry also…….it has a mild tangy kind of smell, which is not overpowering….you won;t even notice it once it goes on the face………. 🙂 :))

  6. Thanks for the wonderful review Jomol :waytogo: , I too wanted to buy this from the May catalogue though price seemed a little on the higer side but i fell in love with the soft blue color, it instantly makes me feel refreshed :jiggy1: Does it effectively remove the blackheads and dead skin cells? Would it work for combination skin?

  7. yes parita…it removes dirt and dead skin cells effectively, but are you okay with stinging a little bit….if your skin does not react to stinging in a bad way, it will be a great scrub for you :preen:

Honestly i dont mind stinging as far it does not make my skin go all red also right now I am using St Ives Whitening scrub and that too stings a little bit and does clear the skin but m not so impressed with it, i used to use Khadi Scrub earlier which worked really well but now not able to find the same 🙁 So desperately searching for a good scrub

    1. Parita….then you can try this scrub…..its not that stinging but it works really well…..hope this helps you 🙂

      1. Parita….it won’t make the skin red at all…..I am bit sensitive to stinging…..but it does not sting that bad :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo:
