Oriflame Tender Care Protecting Balm Review

I love my container of Boroline. However, am mostly unable to use it while going out, as it is very heavy for my oily skin, and also casts a white layer when applied to my lips. I had been on the lookout for a very light balm to moisturize my sometimes-dry skin & lips, especially during winter. I know you all will say what about the good old Vaseline? …but Vaseline makes my skin oily. :(

Well, one day among several of her usual skin products that my mom purchased from our Oriflame Representative, I found this cute, tiny, baby pink container. Now, it was pink & it was cute…so I had to give it a try :P

Claims:
Contains beeswax to soften skin

Packaging:
It came in an equally tiny, baby pink cardboard box.
It is sooo small & cute. I love the silver detailing on the cap & also the Victorian (it seems so to me ;)) symbol on the top.

There was some offer. I got this for ` 99. However the actual price printed on the box was ` 199.

It contains 3 main active ingredients; mineral oil, beeswax and lanolin.

  • I like to smother it on my feet, wear my socks & go off to sleep at night. My feet feels so soft & smooth in the morning

  • It has never broken me out even when I have applied it on my face. (I have oily skin). Have been using this for the past 10 days.
  • It is fragrance free.

What I do not like about Oriflame Tender Care Protecting Balm

  • Even though I love the pack, I hate the small size. The quantity is too less
  • Expensive for the quantity
  • I do not like anything in which I have to dip my fingers. I wish this was in a tube.

My ratings:

Although I can never let go off Boroline, this certainly has become a must have for me, something which I can use round the year.
<3 <3 <3 <3 (I have read somewhere that this is their best selling product :) ) I know why it is- it delivers what it claims.

I too got it @ 99 last month, but i had ordered 2 n got both in golden dibbis n caramel smelling. i was expecting d pink 1, bt when i smelled d caramel i felt happy that i had ordered 2 @ rate of 1. just love d caramel smell.

u should get bravery award for fearlessly experimenting on your face :P

so now i m tempted to buy the product but will not experiment it on my face i m a scared soul ;-)

Hey ashna…i knw wat u mean…bt d fact z tht i hv bn on Acne Medication 4 d past 3 mnths….& ever since Winter set in , my skin ws wierdly showing signs f dryness :eek:
so i had 2 try smthn light & wen i tried ths on my face (ofcre i ws a bit sceptical, bt i love experimenting 2 :X-P: ) it made my skin super soft…bt i mst say it z very moisturizing & cn easily replace a lip balm like vaseline :waytogo: :waytogo:

I found the tender care lip balm in a lipstick form, all white. It’s so light, but moisturising. Priced at 149 bucks. Price is a bit high, now that maybelline has launched lipsmooth. :lol2:

Hey! well i love dis product…i’ve bin using it for agessssss… n i just LOVE it! apparently its Oriflame’s 1st product ever…so i s’pose dat means its so gud its not gone out of production…Btw, it does come in a lipstick form…so Sweta…so at least u don’t have to dig into it to apply it for ur lips… :P

Oh! n u really ought to chk out oriflame offers…around festive seasons…Valentine’s, Diwali, Christmas…esp their flyers…u can get tender care for a really cool price den..i got mine for Rs. 79!!! n it’s in a cute lil silver packaging! so cute! :D
