Here I am again with another product which I was using this winter. I have normal to combination skin which turns dry-ish in winter. I saw this product online and purchased it considering the brand “Origins” which has some good products. Let’s see how the product fared.

Price: I paid Rs 2400/- for it  online.

My Experience with Origins Drink Up-10 Minute Mask to Quench Skin’s Thirst:

 It is a white coloured cream…not sticky at all. I find it to have a texture like that of a moisturiser. The tube has 100 ml of product in it with a sturdy flip cap…safe to carry it during travels. However, the flip cap does tend to get dirty at the mouth when the product dries up. It is light in texture..easy to apply and spread on the skin.

The whitish colour of the cream becomes almost transparent within 5 minutes. If I wipe it off with a tissue…a sticky layer is left on the skin which I do not like at all…I do tend to rinse it off.

 

After rinsing it off, I am left with a soft and smooth skin. My skin seems to have a glow from within. But the improvement lasts for hardly 24 hours after which I afterwhich my dry patches do come back. I have used this mask every alternate day. I have used this after cleansing, after exfoliating and even kept it on my face for 1 hour…But the results do not improve. The mask seems to dry and peel off from skin if kept for a longer time…but the end result is always the same. The most abhorrent thing I find about this mask is the smell….it has a sweet sickly smell (apricot-y.. which some may like). The scent does not leave the skin completely… even after rinsing it off. I do not like my skin products to be scented.

I have normal to dry skin in winter hence I still find this mask beneficial…people with very dry skin will find this product a complete waste of money. However people with normal to oily skin may like this product in winters when their skin experiences some dehydration. Now-a-days, with the summer coming in..I am finding myself trying to finish off this product by applying it for 10 minutes before I do my makeup for any evening outs.

Cons of Origins Drink Up-10 Minute Mask to Quench Skin’s Thirst

• Sickly sweet smell
• It is described as fountain of youth…..Aaahh…Utter nonsense
• Will make the skin oily until completely rinsed off
• Very Expensive.
• The hydrating effect does not last long…in fact people with very dry skin may hardly find it beneficial.

Nooo…I am not purchasing this product again…there are many better and cheaper hydrating masks in the market.
