I am going to review Orlane Paris Purete Purifying Balancing Gel. First of all, let me tell you that I have really dry and sensitive skin. I was looking for a good face wash for a really long time that would not dry out my skin and at the same time, will do the job of cleansing my skin. After trying many brands, I think I have found that one face wash I was always looking for! I got this one from a pharmacy at the Dubai Mall on my trip to Dubai this January.

Claims:
Eliminates impurities and excess sebum. Cleanses and tightens pores thanks to extracts of Polyporus, used traditionally in France as a purifying elixir.

Directions for Use:
Use morning and night. Work up a foam to cleanse, then rinse off.

Price:
AED 207 for 200 ml

Packaging:
The product comes in a big tube form with a plastic cap. Nothing fancy.

My Experience with Orlane Paris Purete Purifying Balancing Gel:

The product has a gel consistency and works into a foam as you start massaging the product, as mentioned on the product. It has a very strong kind of fruity fragrance, which might bother some people. Though, it is mentioned on the product that it is for people from oily to combination skin, yet it perfectly suits my dry skin and does the job of cleansing very well. It does not leave dry patches or give my skin any kind of stretchy feeling, which most of the face washes tend to do. The moment I apply it, it gives a very cooling sensation, which I find quite nice after a long tiring day!

It makes the skin very fresh and clean without stripping off the moisture of the skin, which is something I look for in every cleanser and I think that is what most of the people do! And I feel that it would suit all skin types really well – dry, oily or combination! It is very gentle on the skin, not at all like those harsh soapy face washes! It makes the skin very soft and supple. The product claims that it tightens the pores, and I do not agree with this claim. But, when it comes to removing makeup, it does a superb job.

Even the waterproof ones – eyeliners, kohls, mascaras and just everything!! It removes them all!! Coming home late after a long, tiring day when you just want to go straight to your bed and feel lazy to remove your makeup, all you need is this face wash! The only thing which I really really hate about it is it’s packaging. It is a big white tube with a plastic cap. The plastic of the cap is not of good quality and the cap keeps on rotating and the product actually leaks! Also, you cannot keep the tube upside down, as all the product settles down and as you open the cap of the tube, all the product starts leaking out! The packaging is just terrible! It is not at all travel friendly.

• Removes even the stubborn waterproof makeup

Cons of Orlane Paris Purete Purifying Balancing Gel:

• The packaging is very bad; the product leaks
• Not at all travel-friendly
• Not easily available in India
• A bit costly

Yes! I would keep repurchasing it until I find something better!

Yes! It is meant for all skin types, perfectly does the job of cleansing and removing makeup, without being too harsh on the skin. Though, the packaging is too bad!
