Outfit of the Day: Mum-made Red Frock with Green Accessories

Hi girls!

This OOTD is very special to me and I dedicate this to my loving mum who made this frock for me. This is going to be photo heavy so please bear with me.

I and my sister grew up wearing various kinds of frocks and dresses made by my mum which were more beautiful than the readymade ones made available in the market. We come from a small town where it is more normal for grown up girls to wear salwar kameez or kurta and jeans more than frocks. So it’s been many years since I last wore a frock. Few days back while browsing through an online store, I came across a plain red dress with green belt. It costs more than Rs.1000. I immediately rang up my mummy and pestered her to make me a red dress too. So she made me this for me.

See how she has given a green piping and also made that lovely flower all by herself with the remaining green fabric. She also ruffled the sleeves to give that extra something to the frock.

I decided to keep it simple by just wrapping a green bead necklace on my wrist as a bracelet and a thin green belt. On my ears I had my green studs.

green earrings
I wore multicolored ballerinas with this red frock. I got them as cheap as Rs.100! 😀

For my make up, I kept it really simple by just dabbing some compact powder, mascara, a brown eye pencil on the lower lashline, a pink eyeshadow line on the upper lashline and a hint of gloss.
