I’m attending quite a big party on Sunday. I’ll be wearing a ‘tiger print’ beige and black blouse, paired with either a straight long black skirt, or a coppery-brown straight long skirt. I’ve worked out which lipstick to wear – a coppery shimmery lipstick – but I need some advice on what eye make up look I should do. I don’t want everything to look brownish. On my cheeks, I’ll be wearing MAC Mineralise Skinfinish in Stereo Rose. Help please!

Sabrina, with so much already going on lips face and dress I would personally keep my eyes quite neutral. My be just a wash of neutral beigsish cream shadow all over the lid , a warm golden colour just around the outer corners , fine defined black eye liner and lots of mascara.
I would have kept my blush as just a highlighter instead of stereo rose but that’s just your personal liking.
I was exactly thinking of something on these lines only…..today I discovered a Lakme Glide on Eye Colour (the creamy type….same packing as their Aqua Shine lip colors) in copper, and one in latte. I even forgot I had these, I’m thinking of using the latte on the eyelids, and a beige eye shadow on the lid, with a golden brow bone highlighting colour. My internet was not working the whole day, so I only just logged in. Thanks for the suggestion, Rati.

kohl line them and add a subtle shimmer on eyelids..maybe just a dash from lakme topaz eyepot, or one of the bourjois baked shadows u reviewed..(n neway dont forget to upload your party look pics ) :-))

Hmm..i would say go for kind of a vintage look.sans the red lips..
For eye make up…
1.Apply base as usual.I use concealer topped with talcum powder or face powder
2.Apply a wash of neutral color all over the lid and up to your brow bone .A light beige or champagne color is you best best.
3.Take a slight reddish brown. My suggestion would be Embark from MAC or something similar[goggle the MAC shade for pics].Make sure you blend it out really well and use a light hand…you dont want a cut crease.
4.If you already applied a champagne shade then you don’t need a highlight..unless go in and give a light shimmery highlight.
5.Then using your favorite black liquid liner ,apply it and wing it out.Its thickness is your preference.
6.Apply loads and loads of Mascara.I think Falsies would be distracting to people who you are socialising with and would make you look wacky.

first off, i think you should pair off that blouse with your black skirt rather than the coppery brown one.
secondly, (i agree with rati here, as always) i think you should keep the eyes totally nude with lots and lots and LOTS of mascara.
thirdly, i think you should use a blinding scarlet red lipstick. i just have this feeling that it will look KILLER with that blouse!
and oh yeah, as rati said before (i agree again!), i would have ditched stereo rose for just a highlighter.
but it’s all your choice in the end!

Oh yes, if I wear blinding red lipstick, then I would just go with highlighter for the cheeks, instead of Stereo Rose. Just don’t know why I’m so excited about this party, my hubby says I’m behaving like a kid !!!!!! Maybe coz it’s my best friend’s birthday.
