Party Make Up Tutorial: Turquoise Blue/Green Eyes and Neon Pink Lips

Party Make Up: Turquoise Blue/Green Eyes and Neon Pink Lips

Aloha everyone. As far as me and my hubby + our gang of friends are concerned, the party season has already begun! Our gang consists of about 10 couples, and the birthdays begin from August each year, with my best friend’s birthday at end August. From then onwards, it’s birthdays and more birthdays (read: parties and more parties). Last Saturday, we had another friend’s birthday party and I just wanted to share with the IMBB gang my party make-up look on that day.

I first applied MAC Paint Pot (Soft Ochre) all over the eyelids upto just below the eyebrows. I then lined my lower lash line with Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner Pencil (Black) and while it was ‘setting’, I applied Lakme Intense Shine Eyeliner (Olive) on my upper lash line. While that was setting, I applied MAC Eye Kohl (Float on By) on my lower lash line on top of the Revlon black eye pencil. After the Lakme eyeliner had set on my upper lash line, just above that, I applied the Revlon ColorStay Liquid EyeLiner (Bingo Blue) in a thin line. With a MAC 213 eyeshadow brush, I then applied MAC eyeshadow (Vellum) upto the brow bone. MAC Vellum eyeshadow looks white in the pan, but after application, it has a sheer iridescent violet hue and it’s great as a brow bone highlighter. I heard that abroad it has been removed from their regular line and is available only in the MAC Pro Collection now. ( Since I have almost blonde eyebrows, I applied MAC Brow Pencil in Fling on my eyebrows.)

  1. Hey Sabrina….       I should look out for that Lakme liner in Olive….is it from the fever colection?????

    1. Thanks, Jomol. The Lakme eye liner is not from their latest collection, it is an Intense Shine Eyeliner in Olive. The earlier range just says Intense Shine Eyeliner (Olive) and 9 to 5 was introduced after that. I have both.

  2. Hehehhe Jomol…yes yes you should look out for it..its not in the fever collection..its an old 9 to 5 variety..Lakme was “undecided” where to put it

  3. Ikkkkkkeeeeeeeeee… :-* :-* …you missed all the fun..but can you go read Sanjeev’s post on myths 😀 😀 :D…Jomo said she to check if she is a girl or a boy 😀

    1. 😛 yeah i read that and she also used “Ikky” in the same sentence :-(( so i really dint know what to say… 😕 :pain:
      >:D<

      1. Hehehhee…I know…you dont say anything..just be horrified and annoyed and go sit on her…or him..or whatever. On second thoughts, she seems to be armed with a ewwwie supply of horrible yellow cans…you better stay away from her.

        1. haha i know but theres nothing to e scared of Rads, shes been drinking that!! she wont want to waste it on us!!! :P:P :rotfl: :rotfl:

  4. hi sabrina – i’m like totally zapped by your sassy party look! luuuuuuv the colors – great way to wear blue and green! how d’you get such a perfect eye line? you have such a lovely skin tone and such a great eye for details! ur tut was really easy to follow – its my hubby’s friend’s b’day cumin up and it think i’m going to try this look………wish me luck :-* !

    1. Hi cheesestraw (nice name!)….thanks so much for all the compliments. I guess I can draw such a neat eye liner look after years of practice and also a steady hand….I don’t rest my hand on anything though….I stand in front of my long almirah mirror and put my head back, looking downwards while looking into the eyes. I wish you all the best for doing this look….it’s really easy.

  5. Hey.

I’ve been searching all over the net for a couple of different ideas because I’m going to a hens night and the theme is fluro. Anyway I came across this page.

I love the fact that you are trying something a bit fun and new but can I give you a couple of tips???

With your eye shape I would try to stay away from lining both the top and bottom of your eye so heavily. If you do plan to line both upper and lower make sure you don’t join the lines at the end of your eye as it then closes them up. another neat little trick is to take a white eye liner (or white eyshadow) and draw inside of the area that you have lined at the bottom. It gives the illusion that the whites of your eyes are wider. You can also put a little white in between where the two lines end (if you choose to double line).

Also I would recommend experimenting with using some darker shading just above your eyelid crease to once again hopefully give your eyes a wider and more open look.

Otherwise I absolutely love what you have done with using the several different liners – something I myself am going to pocket and experiment with

Hope the tips work for you

    =D
