Patanjali Orange and Aloe Vera Face Wash Review

I love trying out herbal face washes. Very few of them have actually worked for me, but that does not stop me from buying the new entrants in the market. Most of Patanjali products are surfactant free and that is definitely an added bonus. Today, I am going to review my favourite face wash from their range of products called Patanjali Orange and Aloe Vera Face Wash. Read on to find out why I really love this.

My Experience with Patanjali Orange and Aloe Vera Face Wash:

Patanjali Orange and Aloe Vera Face Wash Review

Since my skin gets a bit sticky and oily during summer, I always end up choosing face washes with ingredients like lemon, neem, or orange. This particular product contains orange, aloe vera, neem, tulsi and all of these have amazing beauty benefits. I would be listing just a few, though.

Orange Extracts:
• Help in oil absorption.
• Fight acne.
• Make the skin feel refreshed and radiant.
• Have anti-ageing properties.

Aloe Vera:
• Used for treatment of acne/blemishes.
• Used in anti-ageing products.
• Used as an effective moisturiser and has plenty of other uses.

Neem:
• Prevents skin infections.
• Helps fight acne.
• Helps deal with skin blemishes.

Tulsi:
• Helps fight acne and pimples.
• Has anti-inflammatory properties.
• Adds glow to the face.

Now, moving on to the review!

Packaging: It comes in the usual tube packaging, just like the rest of the Patanjali face washes. It is a white and orange colored, flip open tube with a design of oranges, aloe vera and herbs on it. The detailed list of ingredients, the uses, and other details have been mentioned on the back of the tube. The packaging is very basic and simple, and is quite sturdy and travel friendly. I have no qualms with this packaging, since I don’t really expect a lot from a product that costs just INR 45! The fact that it works well is important.

Consistency/Smell: This face wash is white in color. The consistency is slightly thick, creamy and smooth. Consistency is exactly like the foaming face washes by Olay. It lathers up really well and a very small amount is sufficient to work up a rich lather for cleaning the neck and face. It has an orangey, herbal smell which it quite pleasant, refreshing and mild. I don’t think even people with sensitive noses should have a problem with this type of fragrance. It lingers on for some time (approximately 30 minutes or so). But, it is so mild and refreshing that I rather like it.

Performance: LOVE it! As I mentioned earlier, I love trying out herbal products. But, most have not really worked for me. Somehow, this one really does! I take a small amount of this product and massage it well for 1 minute or so. It is easy to rinse off and does not leave behind that slippery feeling that many facial cleansers do. It thoroughly cleanses all the dirt, grime, and oil from my skin. Skin feels squeaky clean and totally refreshed! It adds a very healthy glow to the skin.

Patanjali Orange and Aloe Vera Face Wash Review

It is my second face wash by Patanjali that honestly gives my face a radiant look. Even with a single use, the glow is pretty visible and lasts for some time. With regular use, the glow of the skin lasts for a long time. Skin also looks a bit more clear. The only problem with this face wash is that it can be a bit drying. It is really good for normal to oily skin. During summer, I can wait for 30 minutes to an hour before applying a moisturizer as the skin does not feel stretchy at all. However, during winter, skin becomes quite dry. But, considering the squeaky clean feeling that it gives and the glow that it adds, I don’t mind a little bit of dryness. I immediately apply a good moisturizer. But, it is not for beauties with extremely dry skin.
