My Experience with Pearl Drops Whitening Toothpolish Spearmint:
I wanted some teeth whitening agent at home for times when I want to apply red lipsticks or dark shades, which gives a whiter, polished teeth. Dark lipsticks instantly draw attention to yellowed or stained teeth which is kind of embarrassing. In India, for whiter teeth, you can either go to a dentist or use some home remedies like baking soda. We don’t have many options in terms of teeth whitening strips or teeth whitening toothpaste.

So, when I saw Pearl Drops Whitening Toothpolish Spearmint in a beauty store, I had to pick it up. I have been using this tooth polish for over a month now and every single night. The toothpolish though mint flavoured, tastes a bit salty. It does not lather/foam at all as other toothpastes. For me, it is like a paste made with baking soda and water, which is transferred to a tube.

After immediate use, I see a little difference on the teeth (which my hubby refuses to see every day!) but that is very short lived. It does make the teeth smoother but again it is for a temporary period.

Pros of Pearl Drops Whitening Toothpolish Spearmint:

• Attractive packaging.
• Affordable.

Cons of Pearl Drops Whitening Toothpolish Spearmint:

• It doesn’t actually make the teeth whiter as it claims “straight from the dentist office”!
• It doesn’t foam like toothpaste.
• A bit salty.
• Contains many chemicals.
• Not available easily in market.
• Imported from UK, pricing depends on seller’s mercy.

Would I Repurchase Pearl Drops Whitening Toothpolish Spearmint?

Not really. But I would request Indian brands to come up with some teeth whitening strips which will save us few visits to dentists.

  1. Awww that’s bad it din’t work for you. I was excited that we finally have something in India for whitening teeth. I swear by Baking soda.

      1. I make a paste of Baking soda with water and use my finger to brush my teeth. I used Baking soda on a tooth brush once and it hurt my gums. Finger is gentler. You’ll have to do it 2-3 days in a row to notice visible whitening but it works 🙂

  2. The packaging looked cute :\ Does anybody knows any other home remedy to whiten teeth instantly? Like for an emergency? 😉 😀 Baking soda didnt suit me, My gums felt a burning sensation after using it 🙁

  3. Well, one cant use baking soda regularly, it not good for the tooth enamel.
Another thing that can be tried is taking table salt and mixing it with a few drops of mustrd oil and using a finger all over the teeth. The best so far i know, and maybe non damaging would be using the inside surface of banana peel and rubbing it over the teeth for a while. Then gargle. Does make it shiny. 🙂
