Philips HP8315 Hair Straightener

Philips HP8315 Hair Straightener
Hey lovely ladies…

Now, this review is about my very favorite personal hair stylist… ;)
It’s my very favorite Philips HP8315 hair straighetener in the color black. I am just so madly in love with this one because this is always my saviour when I am completely clueless about what hairstyle to carry or whenever I am actually lazy to think too much about my hair. I know, I know, everyone says too much heat for the hair is too bad, but then a little pampering of hair along with styling takes care of everything. :)

So now, about the product:
2
Price: 1995INR
1. 210C professional high heat for perfect salon results
2. Ceramic coating for ultra-smooth gliding
3. Ion Conditioning for shiny, frizz free hair
4. Extra wide plates for better results with thick or long hair

My Experience with Philips HP8315 Hair Straightener

You must have by now guessed my love for this one from all that jabbering above. I love this straightener to bits; first reason obviously is because it is super easy to use, gives me smooth hair and is super quick at its job.
4
It takes me only about 10minutes to get done with my a little- below-the-shoulder level hair.
Another fact I love about it is that it just takes less than 60 seconds to heat up which I just admire about it because I don’t have to keep waiting for ages like one of my friend has to with her philips “hair styling set” which takes 15 minutes just to heat up…

It’s super easy to store with its conveinient lock which keeps the straightener plates firm in place and the wire is provided with a swivel cord in the end which prevents tanglining of wire.
Due to its sleek design it is pretty much travel friendly too.
straight hair
The only thing which has disappointed me is that I just can’t get to curl or wave-style my hair with this shape of this straightener while you can with the slimmer version of this same model. ☹

But anyways I am madly in love with it and just can’t stop raving about it.

PROS of Philips HP8315 Hair Straightener

1.Sleek design, easy to store and carry
2.Less than 60 seconds heat-up time
3.Leaves your hair smooth and silky
4.One-time investemnt for a persona hair-stylist
5.Easy to use and takes very less time

CONS of Philips HP8315 Hair Straightener

None that I can say.

Rating: 4.5/5 ( -0.5 Only for the fact that this shape can’t let you curl)

Would I recommend it to a friend: Undoubtedly YES!

You know I have this straightener and I agree with all the pros and cons. Mostly we dont take reviews for the products that team members have to review but you did such a brilliant job at the last pic esp, none of us could say no to your review. Even I would have not been able to show so much difference. Great review and your hair look gorgeous. :)

what’s the width of the plate in inches?
I have medium textured long thick curly hair. Will this be suitable for me?

Reply

shagufta January 9, 2013 at 3:50 pm

Well….cant tell you the exact technical measurement….but the width for this model would be sumwhr between 3-4 inches…and i guess this is the widest available in for this model….i have normal silky hair….works great for me….. but am unsure hw it shud work for curly hair…. if ur hair is very thickly curled then i suggest u opt for a Remington straightener as those have heat settings whr u can increase or decrease the heat depending on the requirement…..This Philips model does nt have any heat settings…. :)

I have straightened hair. will this work for me?? though straightened, after some days, the front part will curl a bit because of hair regrowth.
