Philips HP8632 KeraShine Hair Styler Review

Philips HP8632 KeraShine Hair Styler

Hii! My name is Shamail.

I’m writing my first review on IMBB today 😀 I recently bought the Philips HP8632 KeraShine Hair Styler online for ₹2,055 although its original price is ₹2595. My hair are wavy on top and curly all the way down. . So something like a this is a must-have for me and my moody hair!My hair get dry and frizzy very easily and stay good-looking only before I enter a rickshaw 😛 There are before and after pictures as you can see and make out the difference :-)My mom has always wanted her daughter to have curly hair :/ but I find it so hard to maintain curly haie! I bet girls can totally relate to this when it comes to managing curly hair. The funny thing is, my hair had always been wavy. Miraculously, they become curly in just a span of 2 years! I blame it on the weight loss. But I’m still confused as to how and why 😛

At first, I was questioning myself as to why to get a styler  and thought it would be a waste, but as it turns out, it wasn’t!The Philips KeraShine Styler is a great  product! I’m not the kind who irons/straightens  hair. I love going to get my hair blow-dried from the parlor before special occasions to avoid tampering with my curly hair. But mostly before going out, I’m not able to hit the parlor 🙁 Now I don’t need to go waste 300 bucks for a blow dry at the parlor prior to an occasion  The Philips Styler is an awesome product which makes my hair look salon-style in just a few minutes 😀 It makes my hair soft and smooth. . I don’t mind my friends playing with my hair anymore 😛 The frizz doesn’t totally go away but it is controlled after using this styler. You must use a heat protect serum or spray before using the styler though. I’ll recommend Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Penetrating Serum (will soon write a review on that too).

. I mean obviously if you get a curler like styler you would expect to curl them first. But I’m just different that way 😛 It gave me a wavy look rather than a poker straight hair look (as seen in the pictures) but I wasn’t even expecting to get straight hair like that so I’m quite happy with the result. I was going to buy the Air Straightener from Philips (HP8658/HP8659) but after comparing all the reviews I chose to buy this and I’m totally happy  with my decision 😀 This is my first purchase when it comes to hair care and so experimenting with the styler was real fun. Even more so, after seeing the results! I was looking for reviews on the styler but didn’t find many online. So I thought that whenever I do get this, I will surely post a review about it on IMBB 🙂

Retractable bristles are nice to unroll hair without pulling or breakage, this helps in lesser tangles .So basically, this product is good to achieve curls and loose bigger waves, and straighten wavy hair lightly. But do not expect this to give you tight curls or very straight hair.

  • 1 minute heating up time.
  • Auto switch-off.

Cons of Philips HP8632 KeraShine Hair Styler:

  •  It is NOT a curler if that’s what people think it is.
  •  It won’t even completely straighten your hair like a flat iron.
  • If you’ve got layers, you might need to use the higher heat setting as it makes the hair look a little weird then.
  • High heat could then be damaging for hair, like all hot tools.
  •  You will need a little practice before mastering the inward and outward curls style.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5 🙂

I would definitely recommend people to buy this product instead of an Air Straightener because it’s like a 2-in-1 styler and a better buy! You can even choose this over a flat iron because you can achieve more looks with this product.

  1. Hi Shamail,

I am confused between Philips HP8659 Kerashine Essential Care Air Styler and Philips Kerashine HP8632/00 Essential Care Heated Styling Brush

My hair are thin and frizzy, gets oily after 2 days from the last hair wash.
I already have a Philips Hair straighter.

My requirement from the next product is:

Something that can help me in managing my frizzy hair and make them shinny, they are too dull right now,
i cant spend much time in styling the hair before leaving for the office, so something which is not too complicated to use and of course which doesn’t take much time,
if I am really lucky then I would expect the product to help me maintain a decent hair style throughout the day,
I don’t want a perfect straight look and lastly, something that doesn’t harm the hair bed much.

Please help me in choosing one out of these two 🙂

    Thanks in advance,
    Arshi
