Philips Ladyshave HP6306 Review

Philips Ladyshave HP6306 Review

Hello IMBB lovers..for the first time I’m trying to review an instrument.

My association with this one dates long back to when I was studying. We used to stay at Nirma University campus which was quite far from the city so salons were not an easy access. My mother suggested this one (she already used it) so that I didn’t have to rush to a salon all the time. After she persuaded me a lot of times, I purchased this one during my holidays in Mumbai, and it has been a ‘blessing in disguise’ as outings and parties at times don’t come well informed :P. I prefer waxing as my first option but when I feel lazy or don’t have time for that, this is quite handy.

Basic operation:

As seen in the pictures, it is a cute white-pink instrument that you can easily hold with a hand & heavy to hold. It has got a single ON/OFF switch and the shaving head (basically the twin blade) comes attached with a transparent cover. I really like the cover as it provides good protection to the head. On the side there are two switches that help us detaching the entire front cover along with the head.

The outer sides of the head (peripheries) are for removal of minute hair and the central part is assigned to the biggies (thick hair). It comes with a small white brush for cleaning. The head is totally detachable for cleaning with water. The best part is, it works on batteries and hence, portable. It is quite a travel friendly thing.

My experience with Philips Ladyshave:

For me it is really a savior. As mentioned in the guide, it can be used on legs, underarms and intimate areas (can’t be used on hands?). I use it mostly for my underarms and sensitive areas. In case of sensitive areas, I advise to use this one with wet hair as the pain becomes negligible, whereas with dry hair it’s quite painful. It is quite speedy, e.g. for underarms it takes around two minutes or so and doesn’t cause even a bit of pain. It leaves underarms totally clean, removing even the smallest of hair. I even tried it on my hands, it does work fine and on the legs it gives a good result if kept at a perfect orientation.

It gives me an easy rescue from waxing, especially when I don’t have the time and I don’t prefer those hair removing creams for sensitive areas. So it will be really nice for people who don’t prefer waxing. Yeah one thing, the shaving head, if used vigorously on the same surface will cause skin irritation, so people with sensitive skin, do take care about it. It doesn’t clean up from roots like an epilator as it is just a shaver, and hence growth is quite faster later compared to waxing. Sometimes, even uneven growth is observed (as informed by my salon attendant). What I really like about it is its size; it’s so handy that I can carry it during my travel also.

Pros of Philips Ladyshave HP6306:

  • The shaver has a user-friendly operation.
  • It ensures quick & almost painless hair removal.
  • The twin blade mechanism helps in removing thickest of hairs.
  • It is portable and travel friendly.
  • Can be used with dry skin and wet skin also.
  • The head is detachable and can be easily cleaned with water.

Cons of Philips Ladyshave HP6306:

  • Doesn’t remove hairs from root.
  • After its use, hair growth is faster and uneven.
  • May cause skin irritation for people with sensitive skin.

IMBB Rating:

4/5
