My Take on Philosophy Falling in Love Shampoo, Bath and Shower Gel:

I love using shower gels from BBW as they are available in a wide range of fragrances which not only smell fresh but also moisturize and keep your body smooth and supple.  The only downside of BBW shower gels is that they are just confined for body and cannot be used for hair. After hearing much hype about Philosophy shower gels and the amazing fact that one product can be used for hair and body, I decided to go for it to save some time during those super busy days where you don’t have to deal with multiple products for your morning routine.

Packaging:

This product comes in a clear plastic bottle with a cap that has the outlet to dispense the product and some of the bigger bottles contain a pump. The product has a beautiful lavender color. It is available in different sizes ranging from 16/24/32 oz. Details of the product are beautifully written on the bottle.

Fragrance:

It has a very light, fresh and delicate smell which makes it perfect for people who hate to use strong floral/fruity scents for shower. Smell doesn’t linger on the skin for a long time, I am definitely in love with the way it smells.

Feel on the skin:

This product feels very luxurious on the body. It is very smooth and doesn’t contain any exfoliating beads. It produces a nice lather when used with a loofah or a body brush. I noticed that it doesn’t bubble up as most other body washes do, but definitely removes the dirt and grease from the skin leaving it feeling fresh, moisturized and relaxed.

Feel on the hair:

This works quite well as a shampoo leaving the scalp clean and fresh, but doesn’t work as well if you have used any sort of oils for deep conditioning the hair. It doesn’t dry out the hair leaving it smooth and doesn’t need a conditioner.  It leaves a nice fragrance to the hair which lingers for almost a day.

Bubble Bath:

I just used it once as a bubble bath in the night. It doesn’t bubble up much but definitely helps to relax your body from all the tiredness of the day and gives you a relaxing sleep.

Pros of Philosophy Falling in Love Shampoo, Bath and Shower Gel:

  • Neat packaging.
  • Fresh and subtle fragrance.
  • One stop product for hair and body that helps to save some time in the morning routine.
  • Leaves skin and hair feeling soft and smooth.
  • Feels very luxurious and relaxed on the body.
  • A little goes a long way.

Cons of Philosophy Falling in Love Shampoo, Bath and Shower Gel:

  • Fragrance doesn’t linger on the skin for a long time.
  • Contains sulphates.

Not really a “must” have product for two reasons :

1. Considering the fact that it has sulphates and most ladies tend to look out for shampoos that doesn’t contain sulphates.
2. If you are just willing to use this as a body product, you can find much cheaper and better alternatives at drugstore.

Though I love this product, I may not purchase the shampoo, bath and shower gel again, but I will definitely purchase body lotion and perfume.
