Hi friends!
It’s Christmas!!! OK I know everybody knows it, but I had to say it just to get in the mood šŸ˜›
Todayā€™s review is about a product that I wanted to use since forever! I spend on makeup sometimes, but I SPLURGE on skincare! Having heard soooo much about it, I had to try it. It is Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer. I have already reviewed the other one from the duo, which is Philosophy Miracle Worker Overnight, and my experience has been amazing.

My experience with the Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer

This moisturizer comes in a jar packaging with an easy-to-open seal. When you open it, you see a glossy butter yellow-colored moisturizer. I was expecting it to be some thick cream just like the Overnight one, but it is like a thick lotion (one little tilt and the moisturizer starts flowing!).

As it is not very thick, it gets easily absorbed. At the same time it is really very hydrating minus the stickiness. The first time I used it, I took the cream out of the jar 2 to 3 times as every time it got absorbed completely, like vanished! But just a little is enough as it spreads nicely. I have really dry Winter skin, but it cures all the dry patches, and itchiness that comes along. One thing that I have noticed is that though this is light I donā€™t have to reapply it. I use it once in the morning after cleansing. You can easily pass your whole day in this šŸ™‚ The skin feels smooth, healthy! There will not be any overnight results though.

This product claims to contain the highest level of antioxidants of any philosophy moisturizer. Now we all know how important antioxidants are in the aging process (be it internal or external). It would have been so good to have it in a pump, as antioxidants on coming in contact with air lose their potency.

This also claims to have resveratrol, an antiaging superstar from the group of polyphenols! Resveratrol (found in berries, grapes, red wine, cocoa, etc.) is also taken as a health supplement because of its potent antioxidant activity. It is a relatively stable anti-oxidant which possesses 17-fold greater antioxidant potency than idebenone, an expensive and powerful antioxidant drug used in certain anti-wrinkle creams.

Another good thing about the cream is that it can be used for both day (no SPF though) and night. People with combination skin which tends to get dry in winters will love this.

Now something I am not liking at all. The smell! It is horrible! I do not want to write this but this smells like eggs ā˜¹, something that I only recently noticed (how stupid is that!). As I had to review this, I took the jar close to my nose and…. I couldnā€™t believe I have been applying this for the past 2 weeks. On application, the smell is quite faint, so that may be the reason. But now since I know it, I just canā€™t get it out of my nose! I actually got so worried thinking that I must have got an expired rancid product that I checked the reviews specially for the smell! And many people agree! Phew! Somebody even wrote that it smells like a fish tank! Of course I donā€™t feel the same but definitely eggs! Now I desperately need a hand cream, as I am so conscious that I am always smelling my hands!

In all, I feel this is a really good cream but not a must have. The miraculous results are not visible yet, but then I havenā€™t used it long enough ā˜ŗ.

What I Loved About Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer

1. Really light but enough moisturizing for dry skin.
2. Only little is required for each application, so will last long.
3. A strong ingredient list.
4. Contains the highest amount of antioxidants of all Philosophy products.
5. Can be used for both day and night.

What I Didnā€™t Love About Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer

1. Certainly the price, but can be bought online at discounts.
2. Availability in India.
3. The smell! What to say? After shelling out a good amount of money, you canā€™t expect this. šŸ™

Rating: 4/5.

Would I repurchase: Not sure! I am writing this again, but smell is a big bummer here. Otherwise this cream is terrific!
