Physicians Formula Warm Nude Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face & Eyes Review

Here, I am going to review a product from Physician’s Formula. This is a slightly higher-end drugstore brand, which also keeps organic products. The products are usually good. The product being reviewed today is “All in 1 Custom Palette in Warm Nude”.

My take on Physicians Formula Warm Nude Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face & Eyes:

Packaging:
The packaging consists of a very hard shiny copper colored cardboard box, which opens from top and bottom both. There is a transparent window provided on the cover with a cute bow on the lid border. Company name and “Warm Nude” is written on the lid. The whole box is printed with small honeycomb design and flowers.

When you open the top lid ,you find the 12 cubes of the product enclosed within a cardboard border. The total weight of the product is 7.5gm. When you open the bottom lid there is one applicator and one contour brush provided. The quality of the brush is good. It is soft and will not poke your skin. Both the lids close with a magnet. The brush is kept on a mirror and the sponge tip applicator can be placed in a space meant to keep that applicator. On the back of the lid, there is a guide provided on how to apply the product in different ways.

The product can be used in three ways:
1. Eye shadow
2. Bronzer
3. Highlighter

$13 (for India it is INR 855)

U.S.A it is available in every drugstore and their online website as well.

Texture:
The product is very soft and has a slip to when swatched on finger. The lighter shades are a bit chalky and have little bit of powder spillage. The product transfers on the skin very smoothly and blends easily as well. It sets in few minutes, locking in the sheen provided. The product appears shimmery but if you look closely, you will find fine shimmer specks in your swatches but it should not bother you because it would not show up on the skin.

Pigmentation:
The shades range is from light cream to dark bronze. So every one can find their color for highlighter use. Hence people of all skin colors can use it. Pigmentation is true to its color. It is not like an eye shadow right in your face but subtle with light sheen on the eyes. The darker shades have better pigmentation and less chalkiness but lighter shades have less pigmentation and more chalkiness. When used wet, there pigmentation improves further. As an eye shadow they can give you a natural makeup look to light smoky eyes look as well.

Staying power:
The staying power ranges from 4-5 hours without any base. With primer, it will increase couple of hours. In hot, greasy summer time, it holds up good. It does not cake on the skin.

• Not travel-friendly. The container opened a couple of times in my purse damaging the product.

Yes, I will recommend this to everyone because there are very few drugstore highlights which do not make you look like a disco ball. This is one of them. So for this price, if someone has an opportunity to grab such a product – then she should go ahead.
