If you were to name one product that you need handy at all time, what would your answer be? I know, unanimously, we all will say – lip balm. Everyone wants soft, healthy and pink lips. And, since we do take extra care of this very delicate part, a lipstick should be the last thing to mess our lips up! On that note, today I will be reviewing a lip butter by PIXEL, which claimed beautiful, statement making lips- with all the nourishment you need. Now, does it stand to its claims, or is it just a bummer, like most others? Let’s find out.

My Experience with PIXEL 502-11 Gorgeous Lip Butter:

To start with the packaging, it is nothing like the high end products, or anything that just stands out in the crowd. Simple, yet chic and durable is what you ought expect from this! The cap is transparent, so that you can make out the color, and fits the tube well. So, packaging wise, it is travel friendly and average looking.

On to the lip butter now, it actually is very moisturizing! I love how this makes my lips feel. It doesn’t settle into the lines; or tug or bleed. And, the color looks rather flawless. Also, the color payoff is excellent, and it doesn’t need too many swipes to achieve true color. On some days, I swipe just once lightly, and it delivers a very subtle and cute tint – something between pink and purple, that I love.

The lasting power is not that great and requires often re-application. It will survive light snacks, but definitely not a full meal. It also transfers easily. It’s got a subtle hint of fragrance; nothing very overpowering, though. It also fades leaving a subtle tint which I personally like.

What I love the most about this product is its versatility. You can build the color according to occasion, and play with options. And, it won’t ever disappoint you. All in all, I love this shade and a few other shades in this range and I definitely recommend this stuff!

Yes! I love how I can apply it sheer or make it more opaque as per my mood. I can wear it sheer for college and other normal days, and more opaque on days when I need the bold look.
