PIXEL Pro Duo 403-02 Shadow Review

Today I’m here with another review of a product from the Pixel brand. It’s an eye shadow, from their pro duo Shadows line in the shade 403-02. Packed and all, the shadow looks amazing, but the real question stands: Does it really perform? Read on to know how this product fared for me.

PIXEL double pan eye shadow is a crease proof, long wearing formula. Beautiful blendable shades to create any look.

My Experience With PIXEL Pro Duo 403-02 Shadow:

To start with, the colors in the pan look really great. The materials used for the packaging has pretty much impressed me too, considering how cheap the product is. The first color is a pretty smoky grey which works with black shadows flawlessly, giving you your desired night look. Since I’m not too fond of over-the-top bright pinks for eye shadows, I like that the other shade is a dull pink. The color pay-off again, is great.

However, the product fades away after a few hours, and it won’t make it through a night out either! It is not waterproof or sweat proof, but that’s all you can expect out of such a cheap price, eh? If these eyeshadow pans lasted longer, they could’ve completed with all the high end brands. But wait! When I was typing the ingredients right now, I came across Carmine- which is a nightmare!

I have already mentioned and explained in detail what Carmine is in my post about making smart choices with lip balms. Carmine is basically a red color, made out of crushed beetles and lady bugs! Yes, so, if the lasting power wasn’t a complete turn off, this ingredient would have been an immediate turn off! Good thing I’ve used this hardly a few times.

Pros of PIXEL Pro Duo 403-02 Shadow:

• Blendable.
• Easily spreadable.
• Affordable.
• Good color pay-off.
• Good quality materials used for packaging.
• Sturdy.
• Shadow doesn’t fall out.

Cons of PIXEL Pro Duo 403-02 Shadow:

• Carmine!!
• Staying power is too low.
• Won’t last in sweaty, humid climates.
• Not waterproof.

Would I Repurchase PIXEL Pro Duo 403-02 Shadow?
No, I wouldn’t. The cons definitely outweigh the pros for me.

Would I Recommend PIXEL Pro Duo 403-02 Shadow?
Not really, no.

Final Verdict:
It’s a brand gaining popularity recently, and the quality is really good. The lip glosses and lipsticks are amazing. But I’m not comfortable with having carmine anywhere on my face, hence, I’m going to shun this one. Also, since it doesn’t last long, it wouldn’t bother me to toss this in the bin. So get the glosses and lip sticks, but skip the eye shadows.
