Red and Blue Eye Makeup Tutorial

Red and Blue Eye Makeup Tutorial

Hello ladies,

Red+and+Blue+Eye+Makeup+Tutorial

With time and practice, I have got good hands-on eye makeup and now I like creating different looks and even try them with different outfits. This being the wedding season, we get to wear a lot of ethnic dress and bold colors. Red is always associated with joy and happiness and is the color you see the most during weddings. When you go for ethnic dress in red, then mostly you will find it in a combination with green or blue. Red with blue velvet or thread details looks very good and is a common pattern we find in ethnic wears. Both are bold colors and very common, therefore I created this red and blue eye makeup look, which is colorful yet very wearable. So, take out your eye makeup kit girls and let’s get started.

Step-By-Step Tutorial:

Step 1:

First things first, conceal the skin around your eyes to even tone the skin and use a good primer, this will help the eyeshadow stay longer and look vivid.

Step 2:

Take a blue eyeliner pencil and line your upper lash line. Make the line thick, say ¼ of the eyelid.

Step 3:

Take red eye shadow and dab it all over your eyelid. (I have the red shadow with golden shimmer, you can use a matte one too). Do not go very close to the lashes; let some part of blue liner be visible. With very light hands, apply this red shadow on lower lash line too to create very light red hint there, do not apply too much color, else it will look like sore eyes.

Step 4:

Take the blue eye shadow and draw a V at the outer corner of your eyelid. Now, take a fluffy brush and mix the colors.

Step 5:

Take the highlighter shadow (I have used pearl shadow, you can use very light baby pink too).  With the help of a brush, apply it at the inner corner of eye, on both upper and lower lids.

Step 6:

Use the same color to highlight your brow bone and then use the same brush back and forth just above your eyelid to fade any harsh lines. Do not take extra color on the brush for doing this, the color which is already there on the brush is sufficient.

Step 7:

Apply the same blue liner pencil on your water line and use this only to tight line your eyes. This will give a nice soft blue rim to your eyes.

Step 8:

With a black gel or liquid liner, line your eyes.  You can make a wing if you want like I did. Go very close to the lash line, so that the blue liner is also visible. However, if you want more pop of colors, then use a blue liner only to line your eye, I feel incomplete without black liner, so could not help.

Step 9:

Curl your lashes and apply your favorite mascara. That’s all, your red blue eye makeup is done.

Don’t forget, bold colors look good with nicely defined eyebrows. So, fill your eyebrows with pencil or powder to make your eyes stand out. Hope you guys liked the look and the tutorial was helpful. Do try this look and let us know how it looked on you 🙂
