Ren Clarimatte T-Zone Control Cleansing Gel Review

Hello beauties

How are you doing today? I am here today to talk about another skincare product from my daily routine, which is my first purchase from the brand Ren. Thankfully it came out to be pretty satisfactory considering my high expectations for my weird skin type. So let’s talk about Ren Clarimatte T-Zone Control Cleansing Gel.

Product Description:
What it is:
A facial cleansing gel for complexions prone to oiliness and breakouts, particularly in the T-zone.
What it is formulated to do:
This luxurious gel works to balance the complexion, remove dirt, and dissolve excess sebum. The bio active extract of mayblossom provides skin with flavinoid nutrients as it works to decongest the skin.

My Experience with Ren Clarimatte T-Zone Control Cleansing Gel:

The gel comes in semi-transparent plastic bottle packaging with a pump dispenser opening, and with a secure cap. It does have a medicated smell, but nothing to be concerned. I am not happy with its loose cap which makes the whole packaging tricky for travelling, unless we save the cardboard packaging as well to avoid mess.

The face wash is clear gel which almost feels like slimy sluggish aloe-vera gel. It is so slippery that we need to take extra care while holding it, else it may simply slip away. Oh yes, it happened to me several times. Once I pumped it on my hands and by the time I turned around to open the tap, the gel swiftly got dripped on the floor. In fact I spoiled my carpet while taking the swatches of this slippery gel.

So this is major con of this super slim gel that it jumps from our hands even when we start massaging it between hands. Tricky, huh? The next point which bothers me is that it does not form intense lather, and this made me wonder about its cleansing properties. However it gives me perfect skin fulfilling all of its claims to a good extent. Yes gals, leaving aside my concerns, I am pretty impressed by this face wash. And it does give decent lather when I gently massage it between hands.

The good thing is that it easily rinses off with water, being a non-foaming face wash. I also like how it gives me clear skin without making it dry.My skin feels soft, even during harsh winters. And as I mentioned earlier, I was suffering from worst acne & breakouts a while back but this face wash really saved me from acne scars and major breakouts. It not only cleared those zits and oiliness off my face, but it made my skin soft too. This, in turn, balanced my sebum glands as I see lesser oil production even after 6-7 hours of wearing makeup or moisturizer. This is really surprising for oily skin type.

Even my skin does not look dull or dry. I feel this face wash will be perfect for every skin type including dry skin since I have never noticed a single dry patch and my skin never feels stretchy with it.  I have tried countless face washes before and believe me this is a clear winner to me in winters; it might be tricky for summers when I strictly need a foaming face wash.

Honestly I can still live with the fact that it does not form enough foam, and it often slips off my hands in the shower. It has changed my skin for good. I would definitely get it again for winters if not summers and I totally recommend this face wash to every beauty, especially for winter skin care regimen.

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Ren Clarimatte T-Zone Control Cleansing Gel:

• A wonderful gel face wash suitable for all skin types all year round
• A generous drop of face wash cleanses the face well
• It gives squeaky clean skin without any oiliness
• Does not dry out my skin
• My skin does not feel stretchy after using this
• Controlled my breakouts
• Treated my zits, without leaving any signs or scars behind
• My skin feels less oily
• It has refined my pores and improved my skin texture

Cons of Ren Clarimatte T-Zone Control Cleansing Gel:

• It does not lather
• It often slips off my hands
• Because of above two reasons I often end up getting more face wash than required
• It cannot help with black/white heads
• I miss the exfoliating effects of foaming facial washes
• Price

Well its price bothers me, especially when we have tons of products that perform in similar manner in fraction of price. I would still like to splurge 28 bucks for my skin, limiting its usage to winters.
