Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner Review

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner Claims – Elegant, sexy and sophisticated! Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner allows you to emphasize your eyes with precision! Dries quickly and lasts all day! Enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe! Smudge-proof! The flexible tip applicator is perfect for creating a precise line! Ophthalmologist tested, suitable for contact lens wearers! Available in two shades; Blackest Black and Black Brown!

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner

This 0.08 Fl Oz or 2.5 ml black tube originally retails for £7.50 or $7.49 or Rs 425 (Indian rupees)! Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner is probably the best drugstore liquid eye liner so far! I used all possible eye liner formulae like pencil, liquid and gel! Nothing gave me such an instant gratification! I know this is not a skincare or haircare product, but I like the way this liner goes!

The felt tip helps draw precise line or whatever look you are after! I used Lakme eye liner with the felt tip! For some reason, I feel Lakme eye liner tip is far more pointed that it is supposed to be! Abrasive tip, I can say! Whereas that is not the case with Revlon’s felt tip! Inspite of being freaking sharp, it doesn’t hurt my skin! The packaging doesn’t speak about ingredients, but the website claims the formula is enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe vera! I don’t use contact lens, so I am not sure how it works for lens wearers! Only downside; I find it quite expensive! Being a drugstore brand, they could have marked down the price! Revlon is kind of expensive in the UK market! I always wait for the offers like Buy One Get Second For Half Price or Three For Two (Buy two products and get the third free)!

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner

I am proud owner of Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner in Blackest Black aka Noir Intense! Apart from the shade name, there is nothing like shade numbers allocated! I prefer gel eye liners or liquid eye liners with brush, any day! I love the way brush goes! It can be thin or thick! But, nothing has given me such an intense pigmentation! This is the best black liquid eye liner available in the market! No joke! Whoa! I know I made a revolutionary statement, but I don’t take back my words! I love jet black eye liners! Bobbi Brown Gel Eye Liner in Blackest Black doesn’t give me that much pigmentation! I did try the Revlon Liquid Eye Pen at the store! The first line itself went oh-so streaky! I tried to redo the line to make it more intense, but the first line kind of disappeared! Hope it makes some sense! Who wants streaky liners, especially when you are spending a fortune on them? I rather stick to my Lakme brush liner, instead! What makes Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner so special is there is no transparency to the product whatsoever! It’s rich black and stays put for hours!

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner is easy to apply! The formula glides so smooth on the skin! No tugging! I am a die-hard fan of the not-too-runny consistency! Can I bother you with something? As mentioned in my earlier posts, I never go by the rules! I try to experiment with each and every product I come across! In weird ways, of course! There are days I don’t feel like using the felt tip! On such day, I get hold of any craft store script liner brush! No harm in using angled liner brush with a thin pointed tip, as well! Then, I dip that brush in the tube! I let the brush get wet with a decent amount of product! Then, I start making lines with the brush! Voila! I get the same precise lines as I would get with any brush liners! This way, I run out of the product very quickly! I know the procedure sounds gross, but I prefer this way better!

Revlon Colorstay Liquid Liner Swatch

I don’t think this liner smells anyway! Not even the typical ink smell! The formula is 200% long-lasting! It lasts the whole day! I don’t use any eye liner sealer or binder to make the formula last the whole day! To be honest, my skin is kind of oily around the lids! Inspite of oily lids, this formula stays put the whole day! It doesn’t flake off! I wipe the applicator on the rim to remove the excess liner! First line itself is opaque, so I never got a chance to redo the line for bold color! My Holy Grail liquid liner! Great formula for everyday use! You can make either a thin line or a thick defined line! This is not waterproof, for your information! The formula so easy to remove! You don’t need a specific oil-based eye makeup remover! Highly recommendable liquid eyeliner formula unless you are looking for a waterproof formula! No regrets! Will I repurchase Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner? Of course, yes!

I hate to miss on petty details like make of the product and life expectancy! It has a life expectancy of 12 months! Of course, it doesn’t last that long if you are religious eye liner user! Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner is Made in Germany, for your information! Hope it might benefit some of you, at least! It seems some countries market Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner with an outer casing of packaging with ingredient details, but I am yet to come across one so far! Kindly excuse me for not being able to provide the ingredient list!

  1. Long stay.. perfect for our hot summer days i guess. My eyeliner tends to get all smudgy during summer. Should try this one!

  2. hey divija…u knw wht…i dont even have to read the line below the header now to see who this review is by……I see the pic of the baby elephant and I knw this ones by you 😎

gr8 review and if you say this is your Holy Grail liner it sure has to be good….I recently got the Lakme eye artist so dont intend to buy another liquid liner soon but once I am done with that I think I will try out revlon…

If you say the price is high, even lakme eye artist is arnd the same price and I hv found the rates of other felt tip liners also in the same range so its ok for me

  3. Poornima,

Yet to try Lotus products, but surely will try something 🙂 Liner on my eyes? Wait n see, honey 🙂 Yes, when r we going to have the same honor, dear?

  4. Wanderlust,

I used this product in UK weather, dear! Our summers are extreme! I am not sure if it performs the same way in India! But, will let you know in a couple of weeks as I am finally back to India 🙂

  5. HD,

Thnq very much, dear! Last visit to India, I tried the Lakme eye artist pen, but found the line streaky and not pigmented! Should I blame the store ambience? Also found it around 300+ bucks, which was way expensive! I could have bought a colorbar liner 🙂

  6. Jomol,

There is hardly any difference between the two swatches unless observed 🙂 Regarding liner on my eyes, wait n see, honey 🙂

  7. Anamika,

Thnq very much, dear! Yes, I told Rati I wouldnt be troubling you people anymore with TBS 😀

In fact, I too find it a bit refreshing though my roots always go back to TBS :rotfl:

  8. oo I totally agree with you , This liner is one of the best liquid liners I have tried till this date !
I also love the fact that it doesn’t flake off and is decently pigmented 🙂

  9. I’ve never used anything from Revlon but this sounds awesome.
Currently I’m using a cheap eyeliner which doesn’t work at all
but I didn’t bought anything else yet. I liked the Lakme liner as
well but not sure if I can find it here. I should save a date to do
    some beauty shopping. Good review:)
