Revlon Colorstay Shadow Links Eyeshadow in Blush Matte Review

I have been held up because of mock exams, preparations and graduation, but I’m back to writing again! 🙂 I actually picked this eyeshadow recently because I have been lazy with makeup and I just needed a neutral shade that I can throw on without too much thought and still look great. Here’s my take on it.

My Take on Revlon Colorstay Shadow Links Eyeshadow in Blush Matte:

It’s a neutral, skin tone shade with a slight pink/peach to it.  It’s matte and doesn’t contain a single speck of shimmer which would be perfect if you tend to avoid shimmers. Texture wise, it feels silky and smooth on the skin. The product is easy to apply and blend.  Sometimes we tend to face a few problems with eye shadows and the most common one would be fall out.  This shadow however doesn’t cause any fallout during or after application. This also doesn’t look cakey and if you have got dry eyelids, it won’t dry them out at all.

The color is absolutely suitable for everyday wear as it looks super natural on the eyelids and it brightens up the eyelids. However, this product leans more towards the sheer side and is not super pigmented. The pigmentation is buildable and won’t look overwhelming on the eyes. If you’d rather not apply this to your eyelids, it works well as a subtle facial highlighter or a eye inner corner highlight. The pink/peach in the shadow will actually give you a beautiful pink glow and you will look more awake. It also feels really lightweight on the skin and so far, no irritation, redness, etc.

Sadly, this doesn’t last very long without an eyeshadow primer.  Without the eyeshadow primer, I would say that it lasts for 3-4 hours. It will fade throughout the day and at the end of the day, there’s nothing left on my lids.

As for it’s packaging, it’s tiny, sleek, compact and takes up barely any space in the makeup bag. Just chuck it in your makeup bag and you’re all set. The lid on this is sturdy and doesn’t seem like it will come off soon, so not messy at all, but don’t drop it because it shatters pretty easily. Trust me, it does.

Would I Repurchase Revlon Colorstay Shadow Links Eyeshadow in Blush Matte?

I would if I ran out of this. It’s a pretty nice color that I can just sweep onto my lids without thinking too much about it and it’s almost impossible to go wrong with this shade. Plus, it’s affordable.
