Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup Review

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup Review

I am always very excited to try different foundations. I wanted to try Revlon Whipped Crème Makeup since the time it was mentioned in new launches at IMBB by Rati di. I was so eager to try it because I had heard that this foundation is quite a hit outside India. I was waiting for its review, but to my disappointment, no one reviewed it. I guess nobody wanted to take the risk. Finally, I decided to be brave and get this without reading any review. 😛

Whipped Cream Foundation 1

My Experience with Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup:

Revlon Colorstay Whipped creme comes in a glass packaging in the form of a heavy jar. It has a black lid which mentions the shade name and its staying power which it claims to be 24 hours. A plastic, white colored lid is provided on the jar. It can be seen after removing the black screw cap. This white lid prevents any spillage of the product. The packaging isn’t travel friendly because of the weight and the glass. Moreover, the packaging is unhygienic because one needs to dip fingers inside it.

Whipped Cream Foundation 2

I chose the shade “Warm Golden” which is for medium skin tones. I have yellow undertones and this shade perfectly matches my yellow undertones. I have fair to medium skin tone and I thought the lightest color might be too light for me. I think I was wrong because Warm Golden is a bit dark for me. The consistency of the product is between liquid foundation and mousse. It is quite thick and not at all runny. Only a small amount is required for the whole face.  I prefer to apply it with my fingers. It blends easily on my skin. Moisturising the face makes the blending even easier. I have combination/oily skin and it is working perfectly for me. I am not sure blending will be easy on dry skin.

Whipped Cream Foundation 3

It feels very light on my face. It doesn’t give cakey or patchy appearance. It doesn’t give whitish cast to my face. Though the color is a bit dark for me, after about 5 minutes of applying, it kind of settles on my face and looks very natural. It has matte look, so it’s going to be great for oily skin in summers. It provides medium coverage. It covers pores and makes skin look even.

Whipped Cream Foundation 4

It hides acne and acne scars to some extent. It gives a very subtle glow to my face. The staying power of this foundation is awesome. I apply it at 8 in the morning and it stays on my face completely till 4 or 5 pm. After this, it starts fading. My skin looks fresh even after 8 hours.

Whipped Cream Foundation 6

It hasn’t broken me out. I haven’t experienced any oil on my T-Zone after applying it for more than 8 hours. I have never felt the need to apply powder over it. After using it daily for about a week, I will say it is a perfect foundation for working ladies with oily skin, who are looking for a medium coverage foundation.

  • Doesn’t give cakey appearance.
  • Looks completely natural.
  • Will work for large number of skin tones.
  • Settles on face after 5 minutes of applying it and starts giving glow to my face.
  • Matte finish.
  • Controls oil on my oily face for about 8 hours.
  • Stays on my face for minimum 8 hours.
  • Can be removed easily.
  • Medium coverage.
  • Blends very easily.
  • Will last for months.

Cons of Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup:

  • Need to moisturise my face properly before applying it.
  • I don’t think it will work as good for dry-skinned ladies like it does for oily-skinned ladies.
  • Not travel friendly.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5

    1. seriously shweta? one of my friends has it too but she loves it like me. i guess every foundation works differently for everyone. i have no idea y it didn’t work for u Cz from what i have heard n seen, everyone is liking it. 🙁

      1. It settles between lines and forms dry patches. I used it with moisturizer as well but it has always disappointed me. 🙁 Surbhi is right every foundation works differently for everyone; For me it was a total nightmare- difficult to blend, dry patches- very annoying. U can try Ashwitha may it does work for u 🙂
