Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm

Hey Ladies!

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain Balm

I love drug store makeup because of several reasons, not only are the products cheap but even the quality, range of different products makes me visit Superdrug and Boots more often than MAC and other high-end stores.  Drug store brands often follow a theme I say because I have seen loads of examples, let me give you one.  After the launch of Revlon Lip Butters, even L’Oreal released something very similar called “Moisture Balms.”  I can’t exactly remember what they are called, my apologies, but it’s like, if one brand releases a theme and if it’s an instant hit, then other brands also make similar products.  Anyway, the product which I am reviewing today is of course a drug store one, but this has been in the market for quite a while now and I always looked at these and wondered whether to pick one up.

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain Balm

These are pen-like weird lip products which have lip stain on one end and lip balm on the other end.  The one I will be reviewing today is the Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm.  There are loads of other brands with similar concept, but I spotted a Rimmel one, so if you’re a fan of Rimmel, you can go ahead and try those.

Let’s get into the review:

Appearance wise, if you physically look at this product, it simply looks like a coloured marker, but basically it’s a lip stain in a pen form with the marker tip on one end and lip balm tip on other end. It’s a very interesting concept if you’re someone who likes lip stains.

My Take on Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm:

I have never tried something like this before.  In fact, I am not a massive fan of lip stains because I found them not very comfortable on my lips and I am actually happy to find the first ever lip stain.

Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain Balm

The stain side is pointy without being too thin or too wide.  It’s easy to apply the product quite precisely and instantly you get plumped up sexy and sweet lips.  This stain accentuates the lips making them stand out.  The lip balm side looks like a glue stick but it gives the stain life by moisturising and hydrating.

Texture:

It’s a tiny bit drying when you apply the stain end, so you need to have scrubbed and clean lips.  It is comfortable to wear, does not irritate the lips.  The lip balm adds the moisture and hydration without being shiny, it’s a semi matte texture post application.

Staying Power:

It stays for forever.  In my case, one and half day, can you believe that.  Yes, it’s a very good stain and gives lips an amazing colour.

Packaging:

I am not a big fan of the packaging, there’s no “wow” factor! Its just portable, handy and easy to maintain.  You can actually leave this in your pen stand or office stationery and no one wouldn’t know its makeup product 🙂

Pros of Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm:

  • Light in weight.
  • Stays forever.
  • Smooth and easy to apply.
  • Unique to apply (precision).
  • Very strong color pay off.
