My love for makeup is not unknown to my friends and family. Last year March when I tied the knots my boss came up with an idea I will gift you cosmetics and that is how I was introduced to the brand Chambor. Now that was a time I was more into bright colors and she knew my choice. When I opened the beauty bag I was like WHOA! That’s a makeup lover’s dream, a bag full of make-up.

Today I am going to review one product from that collection and that is Revlon LipGlide in the shade Crystal Amethyst 195.

Packaging:

Revlon LipGlide Crystal Amethyst comes in a plastic body with the body color same as that of the lip color. The cap is a flimsy translucent plastic cap with the bar code and directions to use. The tube is to be twisted to get the color on the sponge tip.

Finish:

Revlon LipGlide Crystal Amethyst is from the Full Color+Shine collection. True to its name, the lipstick gives an equal amount of color pay-off and gloss as well. Glides on lips like a gel and covers pigmentation.

Pigmentation:

Pigmentation is pretty good and covers blemishes/darkened lips. The color is pretty much buildable but might feel heavy on the lips. Also one tip that works for me, if I want to build the color without looking too heavy, I apply the color, dab dab with tissue, then apply again. This repeated “apply and dab” helps to build on the color as per your liking.

Staying Power:

Revlon LipGlide Crystal Amethyst will stay on your lips for about 2-2.5 hours after that it will leave pinkish stain behind.

My experience with Revlon LipGlide Crystal Amethyst Lipstick:

I like this color a lot as I feel it brightens up my face. Also as this was a gift from my boss it is quite special. All in all a good color for the season. Gives moisture and color at the same time. Will reach out for this color often.

•  Pricey for the amount of product you get.
•  You will not know how much product is left.

Repurchase: Probably no, I have so many in my wishlist already.

Recommend: Yes, if you are looking for a decent pinkish plum lipstick, give this a try.
