Revlon Shadow Links – Eggplant

How are you all? I am enjoying my stay in my mum’s place a lot. The only down side being only Lakme and Elle 18 is available here and I so want to indulge in moist matte range from L’Oreal and matte balm from Revlon. Speaking of Revlon today I bring to you another product from this brand, one more shadow link in the shade eggplant.
Again I was really hopeful about this shade, read on to know more about this particular shade.
Price: Rs 175/- for 1.4gm
My Experience with Revlon Shadow Links – Eggplant
Texture and pigmentatation-
The texture is smooth when swatched. The shade comes off on finger tips pretty well. When I used a brush for the same, the brush “ate up” the color completely. There is rarely any fall-out. The pigmentation is poor on a single swipe. To build up the shade there has to be some base. Even with some base on the lid the application is patchy. You have to work a lot to make it look like a smooth pigmented eye shadow.
Staying power– stays for 3-4 hours with base. I have used Ponds BB cream as base and it stayed for maximum of 5 hours but after 3 hours it starts to look patchy. Very unimpressive from a brand like Revlon.
Packaging– comes in a small cute click box which can be attached to others from the same range and created a customized palette. All details about the product and shade name is mentioned at the back of the case. Quite a smart idea from a drugstore brand. Before this we had seed such customized palette idea from Inglot but we had to buy the palette separately.
Kudos to Revlon for the fab idea but they have to really work had on the formulation. They have highly compromised on the quality of the shadows to fight the price. I have already said this before and I want to repeat, if you have to compete in the market regarding price, you cannot dwindle the quality of the product.

Nope…put in a few bucks more and get Inglot refill.
Will I repurchase Revlon Shadow links Eggplant?
No way. You have dupes in the market, check in IMBB.
No EOTD, sorry. It is too patchy to make it work properly. Honestly I lost patience blending in the eye shadow.

Dear Revlon, do not get into the rat race of reducing prices to get customers; even if you do that, you cannot compromise on the quality of a product.
