Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation Review

Skin Tone: Medium to Fair; Skin-type-Combination and acne prone

I have tried a lot of base makeup, but Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation is probably the cheapest base product that I have come across. I have seen a lot of people rave about this makeup product, so thought of trying it since I wanted a good foundation for ever day use and something that would not look over the top. So, read on to know how this “Clean Foundation” fared for me.

My Experience with Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation:

This Rimmel foundation comes in a little cylindrical glass bottle with a white cap. It is a palm-sized bottle which makes it very handy and easy to carry around during travels. But since it’s a glass bottle, it should be handled with care. This particular range has 8 shades and I picked up the shade “Soft Beige.” I loved how they added a variety of foundation shades to suit everyone’s complexion. It has a little spatula applicator that provides an easy application on the face. Overall, really nice packaging for the price we pay.

The shades in this range have a good mix of pink and yellow undertones, so you can your shade according to your skin tone. “Soft Beige” perfectly matches my skin tone. It looks a bit white initially, but then settles down to my skin’s color. The consistency of the foundation is very creamy and goes super smooth on my skin. It feels very hydrating on the skin but might not be that hydrating for dry skin. It might cling a bit on to the dry patches and at times clogs the pores too. It gives medium coverage by covering redness on my skin and covering uneven patches making the skin tone look even. It says it won’t clog pores, but at times, it does.

This clean finish foundation brightens up my skin and gives my face a luminous glow. My face looks very flawless initially and this blurs out imperfections to a good extent. It totally covers up facial pores making my face look a bit clear. My skin tone looks very even and the imperfections get covered very nicely. The staying power is average. around 3 hours, but that is okay since the price is very less.

It also keeps my face matte for a few hours which is great for oily skin. But the formula may clog pores and cause breakouts, so you need to be careful with that. Overall, a decent one with a decent price tag!

Yes, I do recommend it especially for college goers! It is a decent foundation at a decent price. I might buy it again as well. Really good drugstore foundation at this price! It is steal!
