Rimmel London Mercury Silver 011 Eyeshadow Paint Review

Wrapping up the new range from Rimmel London, here is the review of another eyeshadow paint in the shade “Mercury Silver.” It was a basic whitish silver shade and so I thought of using it at the inner corners especially. Read on to know more details about the shade 🙂

My Experience with Rimmel London Mercury Silver 011 Eyeshadow Paint:

This eyeshadow paint comes in a see-through tube with a black cap and a lip gloss like applicator. The body has all detailed information regarding the product. Ingredients and relevant dates have been mentioned on the body as well. The applicator is functional and sturdy. You can pretty much go away using just the applicator. A brush is needed though to blend the edges, fingertips work just as fine.

The texture of the shadow paint is very smooth and creamy. It glides so well on the lids without tugging or pulling the lids that I tend to overdo at times. It has beautiful shimmers which gives the required glow to the shade without looking tacky or cheap.

“Mercury Silver” is a whitish silver shade which might look over the top if worn alone. For skin tones below NC 35, it might be an ideal wear for the day for highlighting the brow arch or cupid’s bow. For me (NC 42), I have to pair it up with a darker shade to give the required oomph to the shade, else I look like ghost. In the EOTD, I have paired it with the Silver Grey shade from the same range.

The staying power is worth a mention as well since I have worn it for a whole day and it stayed just like that. I do not touch my eyes often, but even then, it would not budge as it does not move a bit after settling down.

Thankfully, the shimmer does not travel all over the face for a long time. So, full marks on that aspect as well.
