I can’t resist buying outfits, shoes and lip glosses. Past week, I randomly picked up two of Rimmel Stay Glossy Lip glosses.

My take on Rimmel London Stay Glossy Lip gloss – Non Stop Glamour:

I have already reviewed two lip glosses from the range. They lived up to my expectations, so I was compelled to pick two more; this time subtle shades to top over bold lipsticks to poise the effect along with adding a bit of glamour. The transparent, plastic gloss tube looks attractive with the silver cap. I love the doe-foot applicators of these Rimmel lip glosses. It is dual-sided and applies the gloss effortlessly and with precise outline (because I am very clumsy in the morning due to shortage of time). The texture of the product is smooth, thick and creamy. It has a subtle fragrance which can only be noticed if you want to and sniff your nose hard for the purpose . It is not sticky.

The Shade is very soft peach shade with loads of shimmer sparkles in it. The shades looks indeed attractive in the tube but once you swatch it on hand, nothing shows up except the shimmer particles; the peach is rarely visible. I have pigmented lips so when I apply it, I can only see shimmer and the shade wash me out. Also, the excessive shimmer starts getting messy in some time. The coverage is sheer too; so I will say this is good to top with bold matte lipsticks to give them a glossy effect if you want so. If worn alone, it is disappointing for me. The gloss keeps my lips moist for 3 hours. Longevity of the product is also 3-4 hours with little water/tea intake; so 6 hour claim does not stays valid. It is slightly transferrable. However, it doesn’t creases or feathers but the shimmer bleeds.

• The pigmentation of peach color is poor, leaving excessive shimmer on lips when it fades.
• The shimmer gets messy.
• Ingredients not mentioned.
• Very sheer coverage lip gloss.

Recommendation and repurchase:

No, I particularly don’t recommend this shade but the berry, red and pink shades in the range are worth trying.
