Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder Review

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Hello Everyone! Today, I’m going to talk about the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder. First, I have to tell you that I have oily skin. It tends to get really shiny after 2-3 hours. I tried a different powder that wasn’t for oily skin. So, I went ahead and bought this powder.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder

So, first I have to say that it’s not my color. I am not sure if the lighting in the store made it look like this is the perfect color or I was darker back then, I don’t know, but it was only 4-5$ and I gave it a try. On the package, it says ‘’Natural Shine Control With Natural Minerals’’ and that really caught my attention.

On the back of this powder it says, up to 5 hours natural shine control with natural minerals, helps minimize the appearance of pores, dermatologically tested.

Now, I have to say that it is true that it makes my pores look smaller and that it controls the shine on my face. I believe the longest my face didn’t shine was for 7 hours, THAT IS AMAZING!!! No shiny face for 7 hours!! Anyway, back to the product. It does have some downfalls though, which I am going to talk about in a little bit.

This powder doesn’t come with a brush or sponge, but I have bought a puff and I love how it makes my face look. Definitely, use a puff with this product and press it against your skin. It doesn’t make you look “cakey” at all. It makes your face look so smooth.

Compact powder

It also has a cheap funny smell, but once you apply it on your face, the smell goes away and the packaging is so bad!! The lid is very loose, which makes it impossible to carry around in a purse. The top part doesn’t stay close for some reason, but honestly, for this price, you can’t really complain. I adore that it is a transparent powder and it does everything it says.

It gets rid of all the shine on my face which is amazing and so far, it hasn’t been breaking me out. I have been using this product for about 3 weeks now. But I’m not sure if its comparable to a high-end product. I have never tried a powder from a high-end brand, that’s why I can’t judge it.

Puff

This picture above is the puff I was talking about.

I have written all the pros and cons in the list below:

Pros of Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder

  • My face stays matte for at least 5 hours.
  • Dermatologically tested.
  • Good pigmentation

Cons of Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder

  • Has a funny smell to it.
  • The packaging is weak.
  • Doesn’t come with a sponge.

My Overall Opinion:

I can’t complain about this product. It didn’t break me out and it didn’t empty my wallet and got rid of the shine on my face which was the only reason why I bought it in the first place. I can only recommend this product, but if it breaks you out, stop using this immediately. I hope this review helped you all out. Thank you for reading my post 🙂
