Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner 003 Purple Review, Swatch, EOTD

Rimmel has come up with these gel eye liners recently and I picked up 2 shades. Here is the review on the shade 003 Purple. Read on to know how it fared for me.

My Experience with Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Gel Eyeliner 003 Purple:

The packaging is like the regular gel eyeliner tub packaging with a brush. The outer paper carton has a unique shape and has all the details about the product. The good thing is that the tub is plastic and not glass. The brush that comes along is of good quality and does not shed bristles.

The texture is dry and slightly gritty. It is difficult to pick the amount of product required due to the texture of the liner. The pigmentation is medium to buildable. Minimum of 2 swipes are required to get the full on vibrancy of the shade.

The shade is darkened purple with sparse shimmers. A very wearable shade I would say as the dark hue to the shade looks very natural and nothing too bright or dazzling. The shimmers are sparse and hence only add to the beauty of the product. it compliments black/brown eyes well and pairing possibilities are immense with this shade.

The staying power is long. As it is slightly on the drier side, once set, the liner remains on the lid for a minimum of 5 hours. Due to the presence of shimmers I did not apply it on the waterline, so will not comment on the staying power on waterline. Overall I am slightly disappointed with the texture as it is not very cheap, but the pretty shade and the long staying power makes up for the cons to a huge extent.
