My Experience with Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Face Oil:

Using oils in the beauty regimen has become like the hottest thing right now. With many companies coming up with their own line of facial oils which most famously include Argan oils and Maracuja oils.  I admit I have always loved using facial oils and my intensely dry skin loves the hydration it provides. Till now, I used to mostly make my own batch by using olive oil, but now I have got an opportunity to try this wonderful product courtesy of IMBB, and I had to give it a go.

Packaging:

This bottle comes in a very simple yet elegant long glass bottle. The dropper is of course a must when using these oils as you need a very little amount which can only be gotten out be using droppers.  Though this pretty little bottle would look like a jewel upon the vanity.  I do keep it stored inside the box as it is advised to keep it away from sunlight and it could reduce the potency of the oils.

Texture/Consistency:

The oil is very lightweight and you need only 3 drops at a time. The oil instantly gets absorbed into the skin and calms it. Though it does not provide a very oily and greasy look on the face, it does provide some shine and dewiness. The oil does not completely disappear into the skin therefore if you were to run your finger over the skin even after a few hours, you would still feel the protective barrier of the oil when your fingers are rubbed together. Therefore, I do not like using it during the day unless I am staying at home without makeup all day, but even using it once a day as an overnight treatment, it still gives miraculous results.

Fragrance:

The fragrance of this oil gives me nostalgic feelings. It is very reminiscent of my childhood and growing up in India when every other kid in school used to smell heavily of “chameli ka tel” (Jasmine oil) which used to be forcefully applied on our hair by our mothers.  The fragrance is very light and floral and not overpowering at all. Scent does linger faintly onto skin for a long time.

Long Term Effects:

This oil has shown amazing improvements on my skin overall.  The best part about this oil is all the amazing ingredients and the fact that it does not contain any harsh paraben or chemicals.  Not only does it provide intense hydration, it has made my skin smoother and softer with regular use. Skin looks so radiant and glowy when I wash this off in the morning, and all this effect by just using it for only a month.

I don’t suffer from any wrinkles or fine lines yet, but I won’t be sure this facial oil will address those problems as it does not claim any of that. It has never broken me out and did not have any adverse effect on my skin.  It does come with a hefty price tag, but once I started using this, I am a believer!
