My Experience with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure
The colour I am going to be reviewing is called Kook A Mango (560). The packaging is a simple glass bottle, with a metallic brush applicator. It is a square-ish bottle with some edges at the bottom. I don’t really like their packaging, it is too simple in my opinion as compared to an Essie or an OPI.
I am pretty fond of its brush applicator though, it has a flat brush which makes it relatively easy for application. I was able to apply the nail paint on my nails with a lot of ease and without it smudging onto my cuticles, this was great as it did not get messy.
The colour is a deep coral, which looks basically like a bright red under some lights. I would say OPI’s Cajun Shrimp could be a dupe. The formula is of the right consistency, it is not too thick nor is it too runny. It definitely did not bleed into my cuticles, which was great since I am super clumsy and these factors are essential for me. It glides really easily on the nails, and I found it super fun to apply it on my nails as a matter of fact. You receive full opacity with one coat, but you get a better finish with 2 coats on your nails. The finish is glossy and has a wonderful sheen to it, so you would not really require a top coat. Another great bit about this nail lacquer is that it has a really quick and fast drying time, which makes it easier for those who are in a bit of a rush with their nails. Moreover, it has a good staying power according to me, it stayed on for 5 days without chipping. The shine did fade away slightly if I am honest, and if I go on to compare to an Essie, Essie formula and durability wins hands down (compared to any nail paints in my opinion).
Overall, I enjoyed applying this colour on my hands. Sally Hansen has a great brush applicator and formula, which is super user friendly. Great for beginners I would say!
