Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure – Plum Luck 640 Review

Hello Ladies,

It’s Monday again! How quickly did the weekend fly past? Did you all have a good weekend? What all did you do apart from fasting for your lovely husbands. I actually fell severely ill and had a massive sinus attack, sad times for Rasshi. Anyway, I have another nail colour for you today to review, so I hope you enjoy the review.

My Experience with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure – Plum Luck 640:

After making use of my last Sally Hansen nail lacquer, I decided to purchase this colour since I saw it online and I desperately wanted to wear a deep rich dark purple. The Sally Hansen packaging is really simple, it is essentially a clear transparent glass bottle, with a silver metal brush. Their brushes are always flat, something I particularly enjoy since it makes application superbly seamless. It definitely has made Sally Hansen one of my favorite nail polish applicators after Essie. I in fact cut my nails super short this weekend and usually applying nail paint post cutting my nails is a big nuisance, but application of this was just fine.

The colour is a deep, dark, rich purple colour. It looks really dark indoors and you are able to see hues of purple on your nails under the light. I think on shorter nails it looks slightly more dark, like I know for a fact, if my nails were longer and I had not cut them off, the colour would have appeared lighter. This is a definite answer to those lovelies, who do not like to wear black on their nails. Like I am forbidden to wear black on my nails, since my father absolutely hates it, so colours as such are my definite go-to.  This colour is a great colour for fall, absolutely brings about the fall vibes for me personally. The colour is fully opaque with one stroke; however, it is slightly lighter than when you apply 2 coats on your nails. You would definitely achieve a richer appearance with two coats; however, it is not streaky with one coat either. So, whatever floats your boat, should be fine.

As for the formula, Sally Hansen has a great formula in my personal opinion. The constancy never disappoints me. I never found the consistency to be too thick to apply nor was it too runny to provide me with streakiness. Also, you would not need a base coat or a top coat with these as they claim to have both base coat as well as top coat in their formula. It dries really quickly as well, so you don’t have to spend too much time waiting for the formula to dry on your nails, and you are free from fears of smudging. As for the staying power, I would say it is relatively good; this is the third day and it looks brand new. I will update in the comments below, how long it stayed for on my nails. However, previously usage of Sally Hansen has never disappointed me for its staying power, they stay on for a week usually on my hands.
