Sally Hansen Fast Acting Nail Polish Remover with Vitamin E and Chamomile Review

I am back with another review. I guess everyone would agree with me that IMBB is vehry-vehry addictive and writing for this blog is something we all love. I hope everyone is keeping well. And about me well, I am into a very colourful mood this season. No no don’t take me wrong I am not in love, actually I have got this huge stash of nail paint bottles that I have to use up before this New Year season ends. 😉 So on this colourful note I would now begin with my article. The product I will review today is from Sally Hansen . It’s the Sally Hansen Fast acting nail polish remover with vitamin E and chamomile. The nail polish remover bottle states that it is a salon formula that is meant for sensitive and artificial nails. So, let’s check out how this bottle faired with me.

My take on Sally Hansen Fast acting Nail Polish Remover with Vitamin E and Chamomile.

My discovery…….
Recently I ran out of my regular Colorbar ultimate nail enamel remover so I went to Alfa stores at Vile Parle to stock on my nail polish remover bottles, where I saw this bottle and decided to give it a try.

As I already mentioned that this season is very colourful for me (thanks to the nail paint bulk I own) so I often run out of my nail polish remover bottles . Sally Hansen is a well-known brand and I had very high expectations from it. Let’s start with the review. Firstly, about the packaging, this nail polish remover comes in a bulky white plastic bottle bearing a screw cap top. The bottle is not at all travel friendly. Also, the other thing that I noticed is that I couldn’t control the flow of the remover easily, Why?….because the stopper nozzle is missing from the bottle. 🙁 I had to be really very careful while removing the product because if I tilt my bottle a little too much than regular, it would completely wet my cotton ball and drip down onto my hands. Pheww! what a tedious job, nail paint removing can be!!!

Anyway, the remover is blue coloured as you can see in the photos, it contains acetone so it volatizes quickly. Please don’t try to open the cap and sniff the bottle, because the smell is really very strong and can irritate your nose for a couple of seconds. So stay away from taking a deep sniff of the product. I am not really a fan of this packaging and the smell of the nail polish remover. So, thumbs down from me. However, the bottle is huge and would last for a really long time.

Coming to the performance, the product claims to have vitamin E and chamomile and states that it is for sensitive and artificial nails. Well I don’t have sensitive or artificial nails but I still wanted to give this product a try. The nail polish remover did a decent job of cleaning my nails. It leaves a mild flowery smell behind after cleaning. Even though it contains acetone, it did not leave any whitish films behind nor did it leave my nails dry as other cheap acetone containing nail polish removers do. That’s good, but then there is nothing special or unique this remover has to offer other than this. Quite ok ok, performance for me. I can get the similar effect from other good nail paint removers which do not contain acetone or other harsh chemicals like this one does. Talking about its fast acting claim, I did not notice anything unique about it, the normal creamy as well as, glitter nail paints took few seconds (and extra rubbing) to get cleaned up completely , as they usually take with other normal nail polish removers. Infact, my Colobar ultimate nail enamel remover works faster than this. Overall, the performance of this nail polish remover is quite satisfactory.

It looks something like this on the cotton ball:
