My Experience with Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Twisted Pink:

I had no trouble in applying this shade; the ease of application is too good and very smooth. After I applied the first coat I realised I put it way too quickly and it might have taken less than 2 minutes. So I put on the stop watch while applying the second coat and I was done in flat 1 minute and 23 seconds. Not that there was a competition on who applies it first, but the brush is beautiful and reached the corners of most part of the nail which in other nail polishes I have not noticed. I literally have to check but with this while applying it I could see its all set.

One coat was enough but I decided to go for two for a more vibrant look. The shade is much brighter in the jar than on the nails. The consistency is perfect. It’s thick enough and not too runny. Twisted Pink is a bright mid tone pink, warmer than true fuchsia (which is my favourite). If I look very closely, I can see a tiny bit of pink and golden shimmer but from a distance it just looks like a cream finish polish. I loved the colour in the jar and thought this is the pink nail polish that I have been looking for while ordering. But after applying on the nails, it appears much darker. I am not sure if you can make out any difference in the swatch, but the colour on my nail is definitely 1.5 times darker than what it is in the jar.

This stayed on my nails for about 4 days and slowly started chipping. I did not use any base or top coat as I wanted to show you all the exact shine this has. Overall it’s a lovely shade but isn’t extremely unique. My search for pink is still on. Inexpensive and good staying power, what else can I ask for in 250/-.

My Experience with Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Brick Wall:

Brick Wall is blood red. It’s a very red and a beautiful shade at that. It is highly pigmented. One coat is enough to give the exact colour. The formula is gorgeous. Silky, smooth and applies beautifully. But I had to be careful; hitting my cuticles resulted in staining if I didn’t clean it up fast. Happily, it was so easy to control; I had little clean-up. What I did have to do was mostly fuss free refining. It does not bubble at all and the brush holds a lot of product. It’s liquidy and dries in a decent amount of time.

Definitely not a matte colour, not gloopy and dries with an awesome gloss. As soon as I received the package, I wanted to try Brick Wall. Though last week I was wearing another blood red polish on my hands so decided to wear the former on my toes. My toe nails grow extremely fast so I have to either reapply or change any polish in 4 to maximum 5 days. It did not chip and stayed where I last left it. Brick Wall is a perfect name for this shade of deep red.

The thing I like about Sally Hansen is it does not give my nails a bad look even when it wears off. It only wears off at the nail tip and the rest still looks fine. I even tried to scratch a part of it but it didn’t come off. I love loveeeee the colour, bold but nothing OTT; it is extremely shiny and smooth. A perfect dark red, great with any look and would look great on everyone.

My Experience with Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear First Blush:

Sally Hansen is known for their quality, funky and trendy shades. For the first time a nail polish has been a major disappointment to me.

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear

  • The consistency of the paint is too runny. I started applying from the middle of the nail bed and spreading it all over was a task.
  • Layer 1 did not provide any pigmentation and it looked almost like a top coat with a very, very slight hint of pink.
  • Layer 2 was decent and provided some colour which was visible to me. If you notice carefully in the swatch, the middle finger is the only nail which is painted decently with the colour showing while for all the other nails it did not work.
  • So I went ahead to apply layer 3. The funny part is the bottom end of the little finger, index finger and thumb nail shows a gap and did not pick up colour like the rest of the nail.
  • I could see fine lines and bubbles.

  • The top end of the nails also has not picked up any colour and it looked like it is chipping though it was applied fresh.
  • To give it another chance, I applied the 4th layer on the 4 nails (skipped the middle finger as it was painted decently) and this layer kind of repaired the tarnished look but the gap still remains at the end of the nail.
  • After drying it looks like I have applied layers, which I actually did (4) and it took a lot of time to dry.
  • I left it on for 4 days and post that I did not feel like even wearing it anymore so took it off.
  • My fingers look darker in this shade, the shine and gloss is ok and not much like the other Sally Hansen nail polishes.

Pros of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear First Blush:

  • None.

Cons of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear First Blush:

  • Non consistent.
  • Too runny.
  • Forms fine lines and bubbles.
  • Takes a lot of time to dry.
  • Does not apply uniformly.

Would I recommend/repurchase Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear First Blush?

Definitely not! Using it up as a base coat to finish it off which again does a bad job.
