Today I’m reviewing another one of Sally Hansen lip gloss from my collection of Sally Hansen lip glosses. Just like Sally Hansen’s nail paints, the quality of their lip glosses also stands second to none. My Experience with Sally Hansen Sparkle Smile Brightening Lip Treatment:

Packaging: Sally Hansen Smile Brightening Lip Treatment lip gloss comes in a rather sturdy and stylish packaging. I really like the glass tube and the circular detailing on the packaging. the brush handle is a metallic silver. The sticker at the bottom of the lip gloss denotes the name of the gloss as well as the gloss range. All in all, it is a decent packaging and I quite like it.

Shade: the store where I bought this lip gloss from had only one shade available in this lip gloss and I bought it. Sparkle is a clear/sheer blue toned white lip gloss with silver glitter. The gloss contains extremely minute glitter particles that don’t look over the top at all. I really like that this is a sheer lip gloss and I can team it up with any color of lipstick I want. I usually pair it with pink lipsticks, hence the pink in the swatch (as this lip gloss has turned slightly pink because I use it over my pink lipsticks).

Texture, color payoff and longevity: I absolutely love the texture of this lip gloss. It is very smooth in texture and does not feel drying on the lips even after hours of application. In fact it keeps my lips really moisturized. Since, this a sheer white lip gloss, this is obviously not much pigmented, but inspite of this, I really like how the gloss turns out on my lips. It gives the right amount of plump, shimmer and gloss to my lips.

Whenever I’m confused over what lip shade to wear, this is the gloss that I reach out for. It is definitely my HG lip gloss. It is so versatile being a sheer lip gloss and I absolutely love it. It definitely stands true to its claim of smile brightening lip gloss because it is a blue toned lip gloss that gives an illusion of whiter teeth. It gives a slightly tingly feeling when I apply it on my lips. It does not feel greasy or sticky. It lasts on me for around 3 hours and I don’t mind reapplying it again. Last but not the least, the consistency, it is neither too runny nor too thick. It is just the way I like my glosses.

Pros of Sally Hansen Sparkle Smile Brightening Lip Treatment:

• I think it is really value for money because of its excellent quality.
• Does not dry out my lips once the gloss starts disappearing.
• Keeps lips moisturized.
• Does not have any funny smell.
• Sheer white lip gloss that can be applied in a number of different ways with a number of different lip products.
• Lasts on me for a decent 3 hours.
• Great consistency.
• Plumps my lips.
• Gives the illusion of whiter teeth. Stands true to its claims.

Cons of Sally Hansen Sparkle Smile Brightening Lip Treatment:

• Contains shimmer. People who prefer non shimmer lip glosses can skip it.
• Gives slightly tingly sensation on the lips (though it subsides after a few minutes of application).
• Not easily available in India.

Would I repurchase/recommend Sally Hansen Sparkle Smile Brightening Lip Treatment?

Yes and yes.
