Sebamed Feminine Intimate Wash Review

Hope all is well with you guys! Today, I will be reviewing the Seba Med Feminine Intimate Wash. Having suffered from vaginal infection myself, I realized the importance of intimate washes quite late. However, better late than never, I got myself a bottle of the feminine intimate wash by Seba Med. I always used regular soap, but my gynecologist suggested me to use this product, so I had no choice but to give it a go.

Product Description:

The natural moisturizing and calming capacities of aloe barbadensis activate the skin’s moisture content.

Directions For Use:

Create a soft lather with a tiny drop of Intimate Wash. Cleanse the genital area gently and rinse thoroughly. I personally prefer to use this while in the shower.

My Experience with Sebamed Feminine Intimate Wash:

The first time I used Sebamed Feminine Intimate Wash, I took just a tiny drop of it onto my wet hands and created a nice lather. This liquid is thick and transparent, somewhat like the consistency of a shower gel. It lathers quite well, so just a single tiny drop is more than enough. The smell however did not seem very organic as claimed by the manufacturer. The ingredients also list a couple of chemicals, but I guess it is better than using regular soap. Regular soap or shower gel is harsh on the skin. The skin on the intimate area is more sensitive and requires a lot of care. I always believed that some sort of separate product must be used in this area, as it can get infected very quickly.

After I started using this product, I felt quite clean. I also didn’t have any problem with odor anymore. According to many other reviews that I had read, a lot of people who were using this many times during the day, faced problems with vaginal dryness. I however did not face any such problem, probably because I use it just once a day. I recommend using it just once daily, probably when you are in the shower.

The product comes in a very standard white plastic bottle. Nothing fancy, just like any other Sebamed product. The ingredients and description are listed behind the bottle. The packaging is pretty standard, nothing over the top. I like it. The lid is a standard bottle cap. The bottle does pour out a lot of product – more than I actually need. I always end up struggling to put the rest of the product inside (not very hygienic, I admit, but it’s okay if you’re the only one using it).

Quantity and Price:

A tiny bottle of 20ml lasts me two good weeks. (Yeah! I use very, very little product). However, one bottle of 200 ml costs Rs. 650. Doing the math, I’m guessing the big bottle would last around 5-6 months. So even though it is a bit pricey, I wouldn’t mind paying that much just twice a year.

Pros of Sebamed Feminine Intimate Wash:

• Tested and suggested by gynecologists.
• It has a pH value 3.8 which is actually the pH level of the genital area.
• Eliminates odor.
• Keeps the skin free from infections and bacteria.
• Requires very little product.

Cons of Sebamed Feminine Intimate Wash:

• Despite claims of being organic, it does have a few chemicals.
• Too much use can cause dryness.
• A bit highly priced.

Final Verdict:

Even though this product targets pregnant and post natal women, I think it is not harmful for women of all ages to use this. However, make sure you use it just once a day, and not a lot. Even though some people claim that it is just superficial, I have found it to be very beneficial. I would definitely repurchase this product.
