This is the third and last product I purchased via the money sponsored by IMBB. I was looking for a lip color which was matte with good pigmentation and not very expensive. I tried the NARS lip butters but they were a little too expensive for my humble wallet but then the SA led me to these Sephora beauties and they made my trip to the store worthwhile.

My Take On Sephora Burgundy Spirit Color Lip Last:

I didn’t expect much from the in house products of Sephora but it’s amazing how these products compete with high end brands with their amazing quality and competitive prices. There were a wide range of lip products to try out but I am a little biased towards matte finish lip products, hence I had to try out this lip color range. However, all colors are not in matte, they vary from matte to creamy to a frost finish.

Packaging: Product is in a long, slim, black cylindrical tube which gives an illusion of decent quantity of the product. However, the product inside the tube is a tiny, skinny stub which is a bit small in size. Top of the cap has the color of the lip stick shade which makes identification easier.

Texture: It is super creamy and buttery in texture. But since it is so buttery, large quantity gets consumed in a single swatch and with regular usage the product will deplete fast. It glides on easily and I won’t recommend a thick layer of lip balm underneath as it makes the entire process cumbersome. A sparingly applied lip balm should suffice.

Color: It is a very pretty shade of wine red and mauve.

Pigmentation: Appreciable pigmentation. Allow the product to set for a few seconds and it will set beautifully into a pretty pout. It stays put till the end of the day and mostly survives a big meal, one needs minor touch ups to restore pretty pout.

Shimmer and Shine: It has a matte finish and looks exceptionally pretty for a cocktail party look or for a more sophisticated ensemble. Dark matte shades somehow remind me of retro looks sported by yesteryear actresses and how elegant they looked.

Fragrance: The product has a very subtle fragrance. I can’t exactly pin point the genre of aroma but it is very pleasant and lingers for a while.

Conclusion: This is a very pretty and versatile shade. It looks pretty on all types of skin tones and goes with all sorts of dresses.

Yes and would try out other shades as well. I recommend it to all those who are on the lookout for good lip products.
