It’s been a while that I have reviewed any makeup product, in fact, a lip product. Today’s review will be on another liquid lipstick by Sephora. Sephora has another range of liquid lipsticks by the name Luster Matte, quite confusing! Isn’t it? I mean how come something matte have luster but, they also claim that it is long wearing. These come in a variety of shades and I picked up three of them which are Magenta Luster, Mulberry Luster and Russet Luster.(which I will be reviewing in this post)

My Experience with Sephora Collection Luster Matte Long-Wear Lip Color – Russet Luster:
Sephora Luster Matte comes housed in a plastic transparent tube with a matte screw up cap and the logo printed around the rim of the cap. The applicator is a flat doe foot applicator and the name of the shade is printed at the bottom of the tube. The consistency of Sephora’s Luster Matte is mousse and it goes on very evenly and smoothly on the lips. These are insanely pigmented. I did not notice any feathering from these. The shade russet luster is a deep orange shade with brown undertones and it’s quite a unique shade.
It will look stunning on any skin tone. Sephora’s Luster Matte dries down to a satin finish and is not transfer proof, if you eat or drink you are definitely going to notice transferring, in fact, a lot of transferring! Still, I find them pretty long lasting.
I get full 7 to 8 hours of wear and they will stay the same If you don’t eat or drink, but even after drinking and eating they leave a very prominent stain which doesn’t make your lips look flat. These have a faint vanilla scent to them, which won’t be bothersome for sensitive noses.
These feel super lightweight and comfortable on the lips throughout the day. Talking about the applicator, it was hard to get a proper application, since the flat doe foot applicator is not good enough to offer a precise application.
