Sephora Collection Marine Waterproof Jumbo Liner 12 Hour Wear Crayon Review

Hope all of you are enjoying your days! We are also planning for a short trip to Las Vegas in first week of September. Yay! We all know Las Vegas is the city of lights, gambling & happy hours. 😛 Hence, I am all decked up to look my best with my tried and tested makeup products. As my family is busy shopping for clothes and travel accessories, I am shopping lots of colorful makeup products to sport new looks which I have never done before. Hope I return as new Neet after this pilgrimage from Las Vegas. After all, Las Vegas is the pilgrimage for both couples and bachelors! 😉

Anyway, before my hubby reads this and changes his mind, let’s jump into my today’s review. You all know my liking for Sephora Collection Jumbo 12 Hour Wear Liners and this new marine shade is just another reason  for me to fall in love with them. So, let’s read more about it!

My Experience with Sephora Collection Marine Waterproof Jumbo Liner 12 Hour Wear Crayon:

The liner comes in as usual sharpenable pencil packaging with a safety cap. I like its jumbo, stiff packaging while I often bother about the product getting wasted due to sharpening. Over all, I find it quite user friendly, price worthy & a travel worthy deal.

Talking about my shade “Marine”, it seems like a metallic finish navy marine shade to me that comes up way intense on my eyes even with those shimmers. Unlike other shimmery shades, I am glad to say that this particular liner delivers subtle and intense color payoff on my well primed, oily eye lids, keeping frosty finish at bay. Yes gals, it might seem frosty in swatches, but it comes up more intense marine blue with a hint of shimmers on our eyes that will take our makeup to a totally more gorgeous level. Believe it or not! It suits my brown eyes and pale skin tone so well that I am hoping to reach for it during my nights out in Las Vegas. After all, this is what I need for that colorful, lively place. Isn’t it?

Coming over the texture, it is extremely soft and creamy even with those shimmers. It glides smoothly over my primed eyelids without tugging  or pulling at all. In fact, it gives perfect, intense, marine color payoff with just one swipe while I need a second swipe to correct my liner (you know, I am still learning to make precise lines). It glides like a buttery formula thereby leaving a silky, powdery, even finish on my eyes irrespective of using it as an eyeliner, touch up at inner corner of eyes and/or as an overall lid color for eye makeup. I am yet to explore it as an eyeshadow color, but I have been wearing it a lot these days on my eyes, replacing my traditional black kohl for a change and as a prerequisite of my trip preparation.

And, let me assure you it didn’t sting or hurt my eyes even after wearing closer to waterline. Even if I remove it off my eyes, it gives such beautiful marine hue to my eyes which looks good on its own. Like my great experiences with its sister shades, I find it also stays on & on for good 8+ hours or even longer. Moreover, it does not smudge or budge a bit after drying into a stubborn stain while it is completely a waterproof liner that will need a good makeup remover to get rid of every last trace. However, I feel its soft creamy tip is not good enough for getting precise, thin lines though it works well for slightly thicker kohl or smudged eye makeup.

And, wastage of product while sharpening is another matter of concern though I have noticed that after refrigerating my pencil for hours prior sharpening really helps in minimizing wastage as the creamy, soft textured tip is more prone to damage than stiff and firm tip. Anyway, considering its intensely pigmented finish, non-irritating texture and almost 8+ hours of wear time with no smudging and/or bleeding on my oily eyelids, I feel it is a price worthy deal even with few cons. No wonder you will find more shades from this range in my kit soon as I have shopped in advance for my trip.

I wholeheartedly recommend this gorgeous, shimmery shade to you all while I am testing other sister shades for you all.

Pros of Sephora Collection Marine Waterproof Jumbo Liner 12 Hour Wear Crayon:

• Such a gorgeous, shimmery, marine blue shade with creamy and soft texture
• It comes up way intense on eyes even with shimmers and they don’t look OTT or overpowering even for a while
• In fact, shimmers make it more appealing and gorgeous
• I find it soft and it glides like butter on my eyes without tugging or pulling
• The stain stays on & on for good 8+ hours without fading or smudging
• I wear it pretty close to my lash line and waterline at times and it has never stung or irritated my sensitive eyes
• It is completely waterproof and sweat proof
• It is such a versatile shade for many eye colors and complexions
• Quite user friendly, travel friendly and price worthy

Cons of Sephora Collection Marine Waterproof Jumbo Liner 12 Hour Wear Crayon:

• The soft, creamy tip needs frequent sharpening to get precise finish
• Sharpening often leads to product loss
• The soft, creamy tip might be tricky to work on eyes
• A primer is advised before using such metallic, creamy shades on eyes for better coverage and staying power

Well, now I assume that like CTM routine is vital for healthy skin, well primed eyes are necessary for achieving flawless, long wear coverage. Hence, I don’t feel we need to be concerned about minor cons other than its soft tip which might be still tricky; but then refrigeration is the trick!
