The packaging of the Event Entry Palette is very glamorous and pretty. It comes in a glittery black case which looks like a small envelope. It opens up by lifting the magnetic flap and lifting the other flap down. It includes 8 different neutral shades which are perfect for a smokey eye look.

The packaging is very convenient for traveling because you can create various looks with this one palette. It fits in the smallest of makeup bags but it does not compromise on the amount of shadow you get. It will last pretty long, no doubt.

The shades are also very pigmented. All shades are pretty opaque and pigmented except for maybe two shades.  Starting from the top row, the first shade is a beige whitish shade which is probably a shade for highlighting under brows and inner eye corner. In my opinion, 0this shade is not that pigmented. I had to rub twice as hard to get it to swatch, plus the shade is way too powdery without any color payoff. So, I tend to steer away from that shade.

Right next to it, is a frosty peachy shade which is moderately pigmented and I really love to use this shade all over my lid when I am in the mood for a very light and easy makeup look for a casual day.

Next to that is a soft brown shade which is very close to being a matte shade, but it is not.  It has very tiny hints of shimmer, but they go unnoticed unless you are in bright sunlight. This shade is very pigmented and blends well with other shades and can be used to create various looks.

The fourth color is a darker brown compared to the third shade and it is completely matte. It is very pigmented and is very easily blend able.  In the next row, the first shade is a pure white shade which is not pigmented very much, just like the first shade. It is also too powdery and definitely not one of my favorites. Next to that is a grey color which is true to its color and moderately pigmented. The black color next to it is a sparkly black which is one of my favorite colors in the palette. It is amazingly pigmented and blends easily. Last shade is also black, but is is matte. It is perfect for those sultry smokey eye looks because it blends out very easily like most of the shades in this palette.

These shadows last me the whole evening when I am using an eyeshadow primer.  Without a primer, I feel they will disappear off my eyes within 4 to 5 hours which still is not that bad compared to the price I paid for this palette.

Overall, I think this palette is very versatile and I cannot wait to travel with this palette. I know it will not disappoint. It is a perfect addition to your makeup collection without burning a whole into your wallet.
