I picked up this vibrant looking eye liner from the Sephora store at Select City Walk, Delhi. Before I start reviewing this, I must mention that no makeup addict would miss a look at Sephora’s amazing collection at the store. I had to visit this store before I left the capital city after a short work trip, since they have not started selling online and haven’t opened any new store in other cities of the country. This sleek and handy, long-wearing bright liquid eyeliner which caught my attention has a satiny finish which easily lasts for more than 12 hours on the eyes.  I had been wanting a blue liner for a long time and finally, I could lay my hands on the shade (royal blue kind of shade) that I had been waiting to grab. So here, I list all the features for you to help you make a better choice on the purchase the next time you visit a Sephora store.

My Experience with Sephora Liquid Eyeliner – Fancy Blue:

This eyeliner comes with a bright blue elongated cap and black bottle.  It gave an opaque color coverage in the first stroke itself which could be beautifully built with more intensity. I personally prefer liquid liners to gel based liners. Also, for an evening look, a wet look is always preferred over a matte finish. It gives you a wet look which stays even if you accidentally brush your hand off your eyes. It’s a boon for a person like me who keeps poking finger into the eye all the time. It has so happened that I have been forced to smudge my other liners to create a smokey look in the middle of the day at the office only because I would swipe my lid off without even realizing. Although, most liquid liners do have good staying power, this one is better than most others.

It has a pointy felt tip which just makes it easier to get a perfect line, be it simply thin or winged. A beginner would be at ease too since the tip is super thin and you just cannot go wrong with it.  It is highly pigmented and very smooth. I was a little scared to keep it out in the open while clicking pictures since I felt it has a tendency to dry sooner.  Anyway, I will have to wait to check if it dried up sooner than required. Will update on the comments section if I do notice it. Lastly, it is not watery and glides very smoothly.

Pros of Sephora Liquid Eyeliner – Fancy Blue:

• Very easy to apply.
• Long lasting, actually did not fade even after 10 hours and you just would not need a reapplication.
• Smooth texture with a satiny finish.
• For a funky look, one can create bright eye makeup which would guarantee second glance from all onlookers. Also, this adds enough bling to go subtle on the rest of the makeup, so kind of works for an instant glam look.

Cons of Sephora Liquid Eyeliner – Fancy Blue:

• A little on the brighter side, might stand on dark skin.
• Color on the skin after application is not exactly the one shown on the packaging.
• Pricey too, might get similar options at cheaper price.

Would I Repurchase Sephora Liquid Eyeliner – Fancy Blue?

Not really, I would prefer a darker blue for my skin tone. Also, I would want to experiment with other colors or other shades of blue.  I use this only over my lashes and keep my water line n*de since the color as such attracts a lot of attention. For a simple day out, I would prefer using a light gold eye shadow and a thin line of this eyeliner.
