Sephora Studio Blockbuster Palette (studio maquillage) Review

Hello my lovely ladies. How are you all? How was your weekend? I hope you all had a great time. Mine was fantastic. I had a long sleep, good lunch, evening movie, and meena bazaar shopping then dinner at puranmal restaurant. So today I thought of reviewing about the big Sephora Studio Blockbuster Palette. I got this as a Valentine’s Day gift from my loveable husband. I was really surprised when he gifted me. I was very much excited as well. It’s been almost a month now I am using this palette and I absolutely love it. Now let’s we see the colors and stuffs inside.

This Sephora Studio Blockbuster Palette includes…
96 eye shadows
84 lipglosses and lipsticks.
3 blushes
1 bronzer
1 mascara
2 pencil eyeliners
6 cream eyeliners.
Brushes and applicators.
All you need to build your own look for day or night, natural or intense, enhancing your natural beauty.
Totally it has 190 colors.

Packaging:

I think the packaging of Sephora studio blockbuster is cool. It comes in a rectangular box with Sephora trademark in it. I just adore the packaging. The box contains a cute stand. It looks like a black jewel box. As we open the box it has a big mirror. Then you can see 1st layer full of 96 gorgeous eye shadows, as we slide on the box on both sides you will get dazzling lipsticks and glosses. Then Down it’s followed by a rack with cute blushes, cream eye liners and applicators as well.

Price and availability:
Sephora studio blockbuster makeup palette costs AED300. It’s available in some of the Sephora stores across UAE. It’s a limited edition palette. I got mine in Dubai mall.

What is my opinion on Sephora Studio Blockbuster Palette?

Eye shadows:
The pigmentation of the eye shadows is pretty good. The eye shadows are grouped according to bright, neutrals & medium colors. There are mixes of matte, metallic and shimmer finish. All grouped together.  Just very few shadows are not that much pigmented buts its ok.

Lipstick and glosses:
In the name of the box it have mentioned as 84 lipglosses, But I would say some are lipsticks. Some of the lip products are pigmented, creamy and some are very sheer. To be honest some are not that much impressive.

Blushes and cream eyeliners:
*Woww the blushes and cream eyeliners are just amazing. Blushes come in 3 different colors. My favorite blush is the darkest shade of all, which is the pinky brown mauve color. Other color is in Barbie pink and coral pink with slight golden sparkles. I will compare the pigmentation of dark shade with nars blush.
*Bronzer is very light in color. So it can’t be used as bronzer. May be you can use as a light brown shimmer blush 
*Well the cream eyeliners are the most important part. They can be used as a base for your eye shadows trust me it’s very creamy, your eye shadow will never crease. I am very much pleased with the color payoff with the cream eye shadow. It’s creamy, very easy to apply, but I don’t know about the staying power. I will try and let you know. 

Pencil eyeliners, mascara and brushes:
I never like the brushes or extras which come with the sets. I won’t use them at all. As far as pencil liners, they are good, not very creamy but quite easy to apply. It’s small in size, so you can use it for your travel bag. Mascara is dry dry dry but the wand of the mascara is good. Coming to the brushes I have not even opened it so far.:)))

What I like about Sephora Studio Blockbuster Palette:

There are heaps to say about this palette, but in short,

• It has lots of fun filled colors.
• Most of the eyeshades are highly pigmented. It’s very easy to apply. You can play around with it.
• Lip colors have lots of variations with matte, glossy, shimmer ones.
• Blushes are very good. They remind me of nars orgasm/Laguna bronzer.
• IMPORTANT thing is you should use with an eye lid primer. I would use my urban decay primer portion or nyx eye primer.
• It comes with a mirror and a stand.

What I hate about Sephora Studio Blockbuster Palette:

• Lipglosses are quite odd. Some colors are different when you apply. For example the darkest purple color will turn as a light sheer purple when you apply. So can’t judge some of the colors. (very few)
• Brushes and mascara are not so good.

That’s it guys. Overall I am extremely pleased with the set. I believe it’s worth for money. Should use with a good makeup brush. If you have a decent amount of makeup in your collection then this is not for you. For beginners, if you have this palette then you can be your own makeup artist!!!
