Shahnaz Husain Saffron Skin Serum Review

SH Saffron Skin Serum

Heyy IMBB babes!!! Today I am going to review Shahnaz Husain’s Saffron skin serum. I got this skin serum around two and a half months back and have been regularly using it since then. As such I really am not able to judge Shahnaz Husain products that they are effective or not. It’s always been a struggle for me. To cut the story short I bought this product when my skin was going through a real tough phase. My skin is oily as well sensitive. Too much using of oil control products was making my skin dull so while my visit to one of the stores I picked this up.

Company’s Claim About the Product: Enriched with essential natural ingredients, this luxurious saffron skin serum revitalizes and restores radiance to the skin. The formulation is specially created to
• Measurably reduce lines and wrinkles.
• Fade blemishes
• Improve skin texture
• Impart even skin tone.
• Gives the skin a glowing fairness.

Directions For Use: Using fingertips (as if we wanted to use our palms phewww) gently smoothen a few drops over the entire face, focusing on wrinkle prone areas in gentle upward and outward strokes.

Net Volume: 50 ML.

MRP: Rs. 630 only.

Shelf Life: Two Years.

Key Ingredients: Saffron Extract, vitamin E.

Now Now, I feel this is bad only two ingredients they have mentioned, what about the others as consumers we have to have clear idea about the ingredients . grrrrr…
We all know the role of Saffron a.k.a. Kesar in skin care.Vitamin E also plays a pivotal role in maintaining our skin because it is said to be Anti oxidant, anti ageing and also protects our skin from harm Ultra Violet rays.

My Take On Shahnaz Hussain Saffron Serum: This serum comes In a boring white and saffron color pump bottle with a transparent small cap over it then one more cap over it ( Did I make any sense, I hope you all understood) Sorry I lost the cap , it was kind of loose. So, after bringing this serum home. I washed my face patted it dry and as per the instructions in the bottle applied it with my fingertips (hahaha) .The serum is translucent light weight gel like. Only few drops is sufficient to cover entire face and neck .When applied to the face it actually gives an instant healthy glow. I liked this glow as my skin usually shines because of the oil. I have been using this product from past two and a half months on a daily basis after toning .I am liking its effect as my skin texture has improved (again I don’t know whether it is because of this serum or because now I religiously follow my CTM routine) I did not get any zits because of this but then oily skin people have to be sure that they do not use much quantity of it as only few drops are enough.

Strength Of The Product:
• It has natural ingredient like saffron
• Only few drops are enough of covering entire face and neck(I have been using for nearly three months and it will used for another one month I guess).
• Light weight
• Improves skin texture
• Imparts glow to the face ( must be a very good point for dry skinned people)
• Shelf life is two years.

Weakness Of The Product:
• Price is on the high side , I mean if I can buy another herbal product like Lotus serum for only 200 bucks then why should I spent so much of money.
• I have used other products of Shahnaz Husain but am never able to find out that whether they work for me or not. I have always had a very neutral view for her products.
• Packaging is not good. The cap was so loose that I lost it .

Will I Repurchase It: No, after I finish it off I’ll buy Lotus white glow serum.

IMBB Rating: 3.75 on 5. 1.25 deducted for all the negatives of the product.

Have a nice day!!

Good review… good that it didnt break you out and improved your skin texture.. i find that most products which promise such things don’t deliver. But pricey, eh!

When saffron is there as active ingredient, some colour should be there for this product, which is missing, if not red or pink at lest some light tint it should have. More over it is herbal brand and according to me they should retain the natural colour or qualities. If i am wrong pls correct me girlies….. : :heh:

What are the other products that you have used from shanaz line , pooja?

I used shafair – it gives me pimples.. i apply in the evening and next morning i see two pimples and a brightest face ever.. :( This has happened every single time i used this.. :( :(
With shacleanse – it removes make up and kajal/eyeliner/masacara without any needed force but makes my face so damn oily..

and with Shalife – no positive and no negatives
:(( :(( :((

But I love the fragrance.. Wow! Each one of them is really relaxing – aroma wise..

Its really nice review, I am working for cosmetic industry and know from where all the companies buy their main ingredients and what concentration they use in their products…I was a big customer of Shanaz’s product earlier…but now I would prefer to buy a vitamin E capsule and use it daily at night …atleast I would have idea about vit. E concentration and quality and price is almost 1-2rs for 1 capsule …Shanaz hussain has started playing with quality of the ingredient…they claim to have natural stuff but it is not true…Lotus buy high quality products..I will prefer lotus ….atleast better then Shanaz..or I can chose some other international brand in 650 rs…
